Tore the truck apart to see if I could install the factory CD player....well I don't have the wire harness for it...😢
On that note, I was really surprised by how easy it was to remove the center screen and console.
I have always been a Mopar guy and I had owned a 2006 Mitsubishi Raider V8 (AkA Dakota) *I should have kept that truck, as it was rather rare with a V8* and I had owned a 2014 Ram Crew w/ 3.6.
Then I moved to a 2016 GMC Sierra SLT 5.3 w/ 8sp.......the truck was and is beautiful but the 8sp...
That is a tough choice, but I would lean towards the Built To Serve as it has more desirable features which make for a more pleasant ownership experience.
The 50k miles is nothing on the 3.6 and 8sp, so that should not worry ya.
I am fortunate that my commute is very short, so my tank(33gl) will last about 3-4 weeks.
As of now, I don't plan to sell it. My current plan is to keep the truck indefinitely(I always seem to need a truck) and in a few years get an EV daily driver.
Well, I normally just use for commuting, that said I do use it as a truck when the time calls. Like shopping at a yard sale for junk I don't need :)
I also load up the mini motorcycle quite a bit, along with all the scooters and whatnot that the kids have.
I am sure Ram will have some customizability engineered in(depending on the model) as we can make quite a few changes to the current cluster.
My wife has a 2021 Yukon and the center gauge screen is nice, but you cannot change anything other than what current info you want to see. It is...
I am at a loss for words, people just don't care and have no respect for others.
This is why have trust issues...I am known as the a$$hole in the family because I am so strict about leading my stuff out.
