Went and ****ed around on some forest roads with my Buddy and his jeep, had some fun, got the truck stuck then unstuck.
Great way to break it in I imagine;)
If that counts as doing something to the Ram haha
I see you have the Level 2 equipment, Is your Nav screen on and if it is do you have Sirius traffic alerts?
I only ask because when I had a Mustang with Nav and Sirius it would Chime when traffic was updating sometimes.
All things considered, I really can't complain about the MPG,
I had an FX2 F150 Tremor that Ford paired a 4.10 rear end and the 3.5 Ecoboost,
2WD Truck 2 DOOR, I averaged 15.9 to 16, Unless I was in a headwind then 13 because well if the turbo's were boosting you're sucking.
So here I am with...
Well I know On the V6, the E-Torque motor is water-cooled and part of the water pump assembly, while the unit on the V8 is air-cooled?
I just looked under the hood and can't find a specific fan for the Motor on the 5.7
If the engine is still running, That would NOT be normal.
I would guess it might be a software glitch in the Speedometer probably telling it your Engine shut off but it actually didn't, Is your Tach runing okay when you're moving?
I've posted this before but here,
As for the Driving style it's mixed Freeway and Highway mostly at speeds of 65-80 from Houston to Corpus Christi and Back,
I thought that until I saw one with the Yellow Color'd lights mounted low in a Grill on a very foggy morning down here in Texas on a area of US 59 with zero lights, It changed my mind and has me considering one now if I can figure how to mount it lower like this guy had his due to me having...
From Houston to Corpus, sat for 7days then back to Houston,
First trip was cruise control on freeways and highways between 60-78 mph,
Return trip was almost no cruise control except for highways at 77-80 and more aggressive driving in town
This is to my job in Corpus sitting for 7 Day's then back to Houston again,
Mostly Cruise control 65-78 MPH depending on the speed limit and no Cruise for at least an hour of the Three and a Half hour drive when around Houston and a little more spirited driving on the way back almost no cruise...
What I never got with Ford when I was a Ford owner and my Dad who is still one doesn't get is they never play up their 5.0
That Coyote engine in my Dad's truck is a ROCKET and loves to Rev (the one in my 6spd stang was also all kinds of fun,)and sounds great with the exhaust he has, it's almost...
My dad is a die hard Ford man and even he prefers the interior of my Ram and it's a midlevel interior compared to his platinum.
He even said he'd consider a ram since the redesign
As others have said and I agree Ram moved the goal post for how the interior of a truck should be
As said...
There's a reason for that
Usually the rating is due to tires and/or drivetrain vibration
Then there's the drive shaft speed rating as well They don't typically leave much of a margin for error either, as an increase in speed creates an exponential increase in drivetrain stress.
It's easily...
I can't speak for the ram trucks but my Uncle ( I know not me) has a 2001 Dodge Intrepid that he to this day still takes from Houston to Atlanta I don't know the mileage of his car but I do know that to this date he has the lifetime warranty and has had two engines replaced amongst a few others...
