New icon appeared. Shopping, games, geocaching

Did this just start happening for you yesterday too?
I'm thinking about going this route but the part needed isn't in stock.
 
Yes, it started today. My truck is almost exactly 3 years old so this is new. Just after the regular warranty period ended. I didn't get any kind of software/firmware update notice so I don't know how this happened. 😡

I’ve had that icon at the top for quite awhile. What was working until today, I would touch the icon, it would start to open the page, then I would touch “media” to get back to the radio display. The icon would disappear and usually not come back until it sat overnight. Then I would repeat this process.
Now today it will NOT go away. It will open that set of pages and now when I go back to my media, the icon remains. I did try going to notifications page as mentioned previously here, but that did nothing. No notifications there to clear.

Same here, just appeared yesterday. There is nothing within that icon/app that I use, so pretty pointless that Ram randomly decided to activate it...

Same with me. I just ignore it now.
 
Truck did another ota today, had to reload my profile. I was hoping it was to remove the the app store icon lol. @RamCares , can you shed any light on why this icon has reappeared?

If I were to guess, I'd say it's there in hopes we purchase one of their services from them.
 
I have found out that if I don’t tap on that icon, nothing happens. The radio just continues to function as it always has…

Me too..but I'd like that space freed up..I can't even remember what used to show up there before that Icon showed up, it's been so long. I feel like some written lettering(?).

Yea, just ignore it now. It was just weird that it used to go away after initially opening it, then hit media. Didn’t return till the next day.

Wait, does it show up without a telematics box?
Also, the radio does work as intended, people just don't wanna see that.

It shows the SiriusXM channel number while on the home screen. Probably any channel of your audio source.

My reasoning is about as petty as it gets maybe… I spend a lot of time and money making my truck the way I like it, and that icon is like a little pimple in the middle of my radio’s forehead

That is sort of true but it blocks any other information that could be (uesd to be) displayed in that area of the screen. For example the XM channel and song name that was available there before. Sure it is not critical but to lose some useful function for useless advertising blocking the display is not great.

Also I just find the icon annoying! 😄
