I hope so. Since it’s android based perhaps someone over at XDA Forums might like to take a crack at rooting the UC5. Custom ROM. Get rid of the tomtom maps and other useless stuff

Agreed, I have no problems at all with the Tom Tom maps and I use it often. CarPlay is not dependable enough for me to use maps on my phone.

ya I always have the nav screen on the top half of my screen. media on the bottom. I am fine with whatever map system is in there, I just dont want ads.

Mine disappeared when it updated to T27.46.
Then it came back a few days ago.

I merely did a reset on mine and the icon went away

New annoying popup at 1st start each day. This disappears after 5 seconds or so. I touched the OK box we will see what happens tomorrow.

Apparently it goes away on its own. I hit the OK a few times and then after a couple weeks it stopped - I haven't seen it pop up anymore. It's still in the Apps section but that's it.

yeah it reappeared for me after the first time i posted about it months ago.
then i started looking into what it got.

i think that dyrt app is great since I used the website version to find campsites on the Alaska/ Arctic Ocean trip this year

Mine appears every few months when there is a new update. However, if I clear all messages and click the link it clears and does not come back until the next update. I've learned that if you have 2 driver profiles, you have to clear it in both profiles or it will appear in both profiles.
