What did you do to your Ram today???

Well few progress today.

The new version MOLLE Panel received and test fitted. Compare to the 6x6 universal panel, the Ram truck fitment adds another 2.5 column of MOLLE slots.
Bracket is trimmed down to the minimum to not intrude MOLLE slots, but there is still a bit of overlapping due to manufacturing constraints.

Plenty of clearance between the panel and the console surface, enough to fit in an open end wrench.
Install can be a bit difficult, as I am using nylon insert nuts to prevent vibration from high speed runs knocking the nuts loose. I may switch over to serrated nut plus threadlocker just to make life easier.

Another thing I am doing is building an adapter plate for wireless charger for the stock phone location. Allow me to explain:

If I have to describe what stock wireless charger is... all I can say is it sucks and outdated. It uses 2019 wireless charging protocol and technology, so it is very slow. When using your phone for navigation and playing music, it produces a lot of heat and minimal charging capability. In the past 10 years, we've seen wireless charging speed go from 5W (barely enough) to current 15-30w (3-6 times faster), and the technology is evolving.
What is precisely why I didn't pick the stock wireless charger when I ordered the truck: charging technology evolve every few years, and I'd like to be able to update my charger accordingly.

Previously (well, currently), I am attaching a wireless charger to the rubber backing pad on the truck side via 3M VHB and velcro so I can swap the charger out easily. However, 3M VHB does not bond to rubber well, especially when the ambient temperature gets hot. During summer, I always come back to the truck to find my charger not properly seated due to VHB not sticking.

To remedy that, an adapter is developed. Goal is to stick the VHB to the adapter plate to prevent failure from ambient heat, while still have enough clearance for charger and phone.

Currently, I am using an Anker wireless charging puck that has a contoured back. It is thicker than the charging pad I was using before (switched it out due to outdated protocol), and attached to the 110v brick plugged into the stock inverter.

And it works well!
Just a few things that I need to improve and this will be good to go, primarily the bend distance, grip, and length.
You probably know this but if not you can buy the wireless charger. I mean the actual coil part and just put it behind where the factory unit would be.

true, but then the that will require removal of console to replace it and i got my switch pro mounted there.
but that gave me an idea lol
does ANYONE have a stock wireless charger console that's just sitting there not doing anything lol

I picked this up today for $45. I have no idea of brand or anything but for the money I think I can my money back when I'm done with it. Any idea of brand?
I did pick up a new ratchet the other day and I started making my reverse wire extension thing. Even with tools wire etc. I'm way under the price of the vice version.
I'll be making 3 of them to help out others if needed. Don't tell boogielander 😵‍💫 about the switch panel its temporary for now but we had a long discussion about it in the past.
I already have the oem upliffter switches and harness that I'll be using for my permanent switches.

HAHAHAHAHA
it's chinese off brand, not even auxbeam.
i see Baja Design box though... ;)

but regardless, if you're running anything that is high draw, use relay harness, even when you're wiring it to the OE upfitter switches.

I bought 8/10/12 awg and I have about 15 feet of 2/0 removed from a 750 il BMW.
I also have relays from 40 amp to 200 amp
The Baja Design light is a 30 inch I think. I've got it sold is why I had it out. I bought it used at a good price not thinking it wouldn't be too big.
I think I'm investing in LP6's but I'm not a 100% sure on that. I've looked at thousands of lights and reviews. The Nacho lights are interesting as well. They have too much going on though.
So is there a difference between a Chinese off brand and Auxbeam. I can't see much of a difference but I'm sure you know...
Here is a link to the wireless charger coil. I don't know first hand that it works but I don't see why it wouldn't. It would look cleaner

i think 20" would fit better, but LP6 is solid choice. I loved my LP6s when I had them but upgraded to LP9 because i was able to sell the LP6 kit with brackets for the costs I pay for LP9 kit lol
but TBH i think LP9 is a tad big for 1500s... or maybe that's just me thinking "what can I run when I move to PW because LP9 is the biggest they got" LOL

there's no difference. those are really from the same factory lol just axubeam slaps a label on them and box them up better. same components, same exact things, same high chance of failure at the most inconvenient times lol

the wireless coil charging thing I was actually thinking just remove the unit, make a "bracket", throw a QI2.2 25W charger in there, and call it a day.
Now I need to buy a whole piece (see picture) just for measurement and test fit. did some price check, seems like lowest I can find is $300 and I am NOT going to do that unless I got people wanting them lol

I may have one. If you remember I bought that shifter and console from a TRX. I think I gave $200 for it all. I just remember telling myself I had to buy it because I'd never find a deal like that again. I figured when I did the upfitter switches Id install the TRX shifter. Ill look at what I've got later this evening.

sounds good thanks!
if you have one and IF my idea works ill send one to you so you can enjoy 25w of fast wireless charing lol

Bought my 2022 Rebel new. Installed a bug deflector on it in 2022, but it cracked & I never really liked the fit, & the clips scratched the paint. So I took it to my local Line X dealer & had them Line X where the bug deflector would go. I also had them Line X the the rocker panels. I also dented the top of my tail gate awhile back, so I popped the dent out, but I cracked the paint. So I had them Line X that too. All in all, pretty happy with it. All comments welcome, good or bad.

Looks good, but curious why you didn't go white on the hood?

Respectfully, no.

The number on the tire is the max load carrying rating of the tire itself - which typically far exceeds a half ton truck’s capacity, especially if you are not running a passenger tire (LT or E load range). These pressures would be tooth-rattling overkill.

The yellow sticker is the last to be applied in the manufacturing process and is calculated specifically for each truck by weighing it as it rolls off the line.

But similarly, the pressures shown on the placard reflect the required pressure to support the full GVWR, or in other words is the pressure you want when hauling at full capacity.

Daily pressure can be slightly less.
I agree with this except that we know that ram will play games to ensure that they get milage numbers. I personally run 35 rear, 37 front, had my truck alignment with this pressure. As weather is warming the pressure fluctuating with temperature is very important to driving. Pressure can change about 2# per 10 degrees. So right now on a cold morning my tires are likely in the high 20's

I liked the blacked out look. TBH, I didn't even think about another color. I had the smoke hood deflector, so I just went with a dark color like the deflector I had that broke.

I woulda run the line over the front fenders curved to the headlights, but functional nonetheless.
