The number on the tire is the max load carrying rating of the tire itself - which typically far exceeds a half ton truck’s capacity, especially if you are not running a passenger tire (LT or E load range). These pressures would be tooth-rattling overkill.
The yellow sticker is the last to be applied in the manufacturing process and is calculated specifically for each truck by weighing it as it rolls off the line.
But similarly, the pressures shown on the placard reflect the required pressure to support the full GVWR, or in other words is the pressure you want when hauling at full capacity.
Daily pressure can be slightly less.
