How to: Add Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane assist, FCW & Auto Hi-beam to Ram 1500

Strike this request, the 2019 module was 6/18 so I passed. I found one off a 2021 Rebel, so I should be good.

How do I know if my mirrors have the blind spot notification if my truck didn’t come with bsm? They’re power folding and heated not sure if that helps haha.
You will see the little triangle on the mirror in the lower outside corner. You can install BSM mirrors on a non-BSM equipped truck. It won't hurt anything.

Do you think I can just swap the glass of the mirror to a glass that has the blind spot light? since that’s where the wiring is? Or do I have to swap the whole thing?

The blind spot indicator on the mirror is a Little white triangle on the out side mirror under the corner convex mirror if its not there then you don't have the bsm notifications. you can add bsm without the lights and just have the audible sound but theres a whole other thread on adding bsm for that. Is it possible to add Blind Spot?

Thank you. Do you know if it’s possible to just swap the glass of my mirror with glass that has the triangle since wiring is on the back of the glass inside the mirror housing? Or do I just have to buy whole new mirrors? If I can do it cheaper I’d like to lol

if you look at that link attached they talk about it in that thread, you can swap the glass but you have to run extra wires in the end it was cheaper for me to find a set of mirrors used on marketplace.

After a $307 dealership visit I finally have working acc and lane keep yippee!!

The acc works like a charm, the lane keep worked kinda meh but seemed to get better as my first drive progressed so I suspect it’s still self calibrating some, if it improves a lot I’ll edit this to note it. Idk how to test the fcw without crashing my truck so idk if that’s working correctly 🤷‍♂️. The auto high beams work but seem to be overly sensitive to shutting them off I wonder if there’s a sensitivity setting, and I also added rain sense and have not tested it.

But overall I’m so happy to have the acc for all the road trips I do I’m estatic!! I’m working on the install video I recorded now so hopefully a in-depth video guide will be done soon.IMG_8292.jpeg

There's no sensitivity setting for the headlights. But it's a known problem with them shutting off for no reason.

You can turn the setting for the FCW up to high, then it will go off pretty easily.

If you like the features of ACC, look into the Comma. It will make driving so much better.

Damm yeah it seems like the auto headlights only come on if there isn’t a single other light I honestly might consider turning it off but I need to mess with it more.

I’ll try that with the fcw i assume it’s in the settings.

Yeah now that I have acc installed I’m gonna start working towards getting it, I looked into it and seemed pretty great. I wonder if you can turn up the factory torque limits with alpha obd to give comma a lil more control.

No, you can't turn up the torque limits. Having helped program the Ram implementation, we haven't found a way to do it. The EPS controls that. There are some things I'm looking into, but it's not something comma approved.

Just curious Vincent, does a branch like Sunny Pilot allow any torque changes in experimental mode? I use SP on my CRV.

Experimental mode is only for longitudinal which the Ram doesn't use. But you can change a few settings like lateral acceleration and friction. But you can't change torque. As soon as we request more torque than allowed, the EPS sends a fault.

I received my used Center Stack from LKQ using the part number on the second post of 68312620AG. Anyway, they sent me 68312620AF and it comes on but did not fully operate. When I pull up the AG part number on google, it shows the AF as a replacement. Should the AF work? I am a bit confused, I have a 2023 RAM Laramie with UC5. I have read this thread a lot, feeling defeated.

The letters at the end are revisions. It's the part number that matters most before the ones at the end.

That screen is UC4, and won’t work on a UC5 radio. You need 68526524AC

Thank you so much Jimmy! I ordered a harness from you a few years back. You are an expert! I really did try and follow instructions.
