Looking to install aftermarket subs

set it up how you like it to sound. i do suggest you keep the subs at 80htz and set the head unit flat on bass or negative if you don't have a amp on them, if you do i normally do 100 or 110 on the highs with 12 db crossover slopes your not missing anything, the spikes are 500 rms = 1000 for the set you do have box rise but watch the clipping. for the air space in the box you really only had 2 choices the spikes and sundowns i have tried a few sets and the spikes worked out the best for sq jlw3's would be next but they are too much $$$$$ jl is proud of those.
i have a dsp so changing the slope, levels and cross points is on my app and done in a instant and from the drivers set

Hello all. New to this forum and need help. I’m looking to install 2 10” subs and an amp in my 22 ram 1500 big horn. Does anyone know where I can buy a sub box for the big horn quad cab? Seems like most boxes are intended for the crew cab and the quad cab boxes I’ve come across are not compatible for the 2022

JL Audio sealed box, 2x shallow subs. If u have grey interior, the 2x 12's may fit! U dont need 1000 watts.. 750 plenty, i went overkill. Ran hot wore through groment and sealed up with black RVT sealant, easy. Used breaker from Amazon, 80w I think. Ground was easy, huge lugs for the E Torque battery behind rear seat on drove side
NET AUDIO for line level converter! Not 1 wire was cut on truck! Clean!

if you look back on this thread i installed 3 amps 2-10's all new door speakers and dash speakers, DSP and i also did not cut 1 wire. i could go back stock in about 2 hours maybe less. i know because i removed it from my bighorn Q cab and moved everything to my laramie crew. i did cut the back carpet under the window.

Agree, I did not cut any wires. I used a kicker loc from the anc bypass harness that I wired in a kicker key 200.4, can remove and back to stock in seconds. The d4s jp13 amp is only thing that would need seat bolts removed to get to. Right now I am pretty happy with the audiocontrol spikes, sound controlled and clean, I would not think it was a ported box. The kicker loc was cheap like $23 and turns on by speaker sensing, which also has a remote turn on wire for the sub amp, so I did not have to run a remote wire anywhere. Key amp is also speaker sensing and works flawless.

Kicker has announced a loaded enclosure for 5th gen rams with 2 L7T woofers no price yet but i estimate 800-1000 for it

I'm happy with the spike dual 10s, very clean sounding. When I first installed everything I did not know at time my battery was ready to crap out. Put a AGM battery in a few days ago and much better now. Going to do big 3 just because with 0 guage and run a 8g to the key 200.4. Then I may bi-amp.

yeah i rather like the spikes in a foxbox just letting folks know about another 5th gen option. kicker is late to the game they should have put that out YEARS ago we are 8 years into the 5th gen and ram sold over 900k in 2019. at this point i wouldn't buy it if it was the beast thing going for spite.
FOX looked out for 5th gen owners they made 4 versions
q-cab box for 2 10's and for the crew 2 12's up fire, 2 10's down fire and even a box for 1 -12. LET'S GO! FOX ACOUSTICS

This is what I will be getting for my 23 soon. Probably be a spring time job.

Ya, if I didn't have a quad cab, there are a ton of boxes for the crew cab. Fox box is really only one like it out there for 5th gen quad cabs. If I didn't like it ported, could seal up since airspace is identical for the spike subs weather vented or sealed. I might just for fun block the port to see difference. Sounds great as is though. Finally pretty happy with how it sounds now, just some tweaking the mic location for the kicker auto dsp and should be set. I still haven't run the auto dsp again after changing crossover points and installing the shca neodyme 3.5s in dash. Dsp was set with the kenwood 3.5s.

in my q cab i blocked off the port just to see and it just cut the low's i did not think it sounded better at all i guess i could have cranked up the gain but i have run custom band pass and ported boxes for almost 30 years i never liked sealed.
