You'd be better off with a turbo than the Whipple. I wouldn't use a Whipple on anything I own. Have had multiple local friends who have had engines destroyed by a Whipple blower and the rotors flaking off. And Whipple would not do anything other than just replace the supercharger. No compensation for having to buy a new long block, or rebuild with machine work and new pistons/heads.

Yep, that does give me pause to reconsider.
My last blower was a VMP/Roush/Ford Racing..with zero problems and huge, square power!
Maybe a 448ci stroker would be better??!!

Fair enough. I guess I’ll have to test drive one someday. I also probably shouldn’t judge until I get in one and test it out. I will say my only experience with the turbos is the smaller ones, and when Cadillac(and every other manufacturer started tossing in those 4 cylinder turbos, it annoyed the you know what out of me. It did seem strange that Ram immediately brought the HEMI back after just one year of the 6’s.
One other thing, I can’t even imagine how quiet it is if it’s quieter than my Limited. Anxious to hear V, I mean I6 sorry

I'm not gonna lie, I prefer the V8 engine sound but the trade-off of little or far less engine sound in the cabin, I can accept.

The power everywhere is what sold me, on paper, I was already sold but driving a SO truck with 3.55'a very clearly illustrated that the hurricane has power where the HEMI does not it feels lazy. The hurricane truck just goes.

I'd never choose a supercharger over turbos if I had a choice.
Superchargers always, always have belt issues and aftermarket superchargers always have belt alignment issues.

In the Corvette world, aftermarket superchargers are more common than turbos but the turbo cars always perform better with far less maintenance and headaches.
Belt and heat soak issues are common

But the torque, especially off-idle of a S/C can't be beat...

Green 8-rib Bates belt, HD 80mm belt tensioner, zero issues, big torque..it can be done!

If it makes you feel any better, Diablosport doesn't offer any tuners for the G/Ts with Paddle shifters, so the Whipple & Mopar Whipples probably aren't available for my G/T either.

my friend's hating himself for not listening to me when i told him to get the GFC when I got mine. Now they're $1500 more than 2 years ago.
and he had to settle for a OVS camper and tent combo that's always shifting when he goes fast with us... and those costed him half a GFC lol

On my truck I can say I’ve ran a Procharger now for about 6 years and 80 something thousand miles. No issues whatsoever. But I could be a lucky one

You're not greedy, if you could stay at 5 to 6 lbs you're fine, big boost gets you problems.

Yeah but to be fair, that's a car setup with a pulley system intended for boost. OEMs do a good job of getting belt wrap to grip the pulleys.

So how do you like them so far?

Just got back from vacation and took the family in the truck. My wife and daughter thought the truck road great and not a peep of road noise from these. Ended up taking a 5 mile dirt road to get to our lake spot and it handled the terrain with ease and did a good job ejecting all the rocks out of treads.

So far, the purchase was worth it but time will tell how they wear/last. Right now its a 10/10.

i was gonna do it this year only to find out my printer is having issues... after sitting for 2 years not using lol.
need to figure that out first.

I used to have to replace my inkjet printer every year because I didn’t print enough color and the jets would dry up. I tried every method of cleaning and just got frustrated, threw them out and bought a new one. After the 3rd or 4th printer, That was getting costly! So I went out and bought a laser jet printer.
