Price negotiated from MSRP

I’m obviously not going through 911 pages to determine if my experience is a repeat. But, I have bought two 2025 models now.

In August, I bought a Big Horn with a 3/24 build date. MSRP was $62k, and I got it for roughly $52k, inclusive of rebates. The dealer pulled that crap where they deduct the destination charge off in the advertised price, then add it back with the taxes and tags later, but that’s a whole other ***** session.

That truck is being bought back via Lemon Law. Its replacement, I bought a Laramie in March with a 1/25 build date. Being later in the model year, the rebates were better and the dealer mark down was better …. An almost $84k MSRP, and I got it for about $65k.

With both trucks, I have excluded the “dealer admin fees” they like to tack on. That’s also a different ***** session, LOL.

I placed an order this week from my local dealership in Missouri.
Forged Blue Metallic Laramie Crew Cab 4x4 1500 with the 6'4 bed. Added options are retractable running boards, hands free active driving assist, trailer tow group, advanced safety group II, and a dealer installed bed liner. MSRP of $79,255 + $395 (bed liner) + 499 (admin fee), signed deal at $64,345 after discounts and rebates/incentives.

Hello all, first post here.

Purchased a 2025 Bighorn a month ago. Sticker was $65,000 and my price was 49,000 plus $350 doc fee and tax, title and licensing. Did the RAM financing for that price which gave a $2500 credit. Going to pay it off in a couple of months. What a sweet driving truck with a great interior. Only thing I wish it had was keyless entry, didn't realize that when I bought it. My Ford at least has the keypad which is handy. Sounds funny but I hate digging my key out, gone soft after nearly 20 years of keyless entry, haha. 1300 miles on it and so far so good. It's the standard output hurricane engine with the 6'4 bed and has the off-road package with 3.92 gearing. Mileage around town is worse than I would have liked. I drove down the hill about 6 miles round trip from my house to a car wash back to back with my 2013 Ford dually with 75,000 miles and the dually got 11.8 MPG while the RAM got 13.2 driving really mellow in both. Highway mileage is around 19-20 so far at about 65 mph.
Sounds like my set up too, bighorn, 6.5 bed (but quad cab) 3.92, Hurricane, Mine was about 65K too then locked in incentives, back and forth for a bit, ended up at 50K with destination, bed group, level 2, Off Road Package, heck i'm forgetting now, ordered 12Mar. Granite Crystal Metallic. I'm odd they said, i like quad over crew cab and i like 18" wheels over 20" wheels...more sidewall. Do wish i got the 33gal tank that's a miss.

Love that granite crystal color, really beautiful. I ended up with what they had on the lot, the silver, which is good but I would have gone for the granite. And my truck has the smaller tank too, wish it had the bigger one. Other than that and the keyless entry I don't have many complaints. It's amazing how SUV-like they drive.

I negotiated a deal for a 2025 Laramie with a MSRP of $81,305 and a discounted price of $65,471. Also, we agreed on a fair price for my current truck. Unfortunately, as a last checklist item before driving to the dealer, I asked for pics of the payload sticker, it was 1,231# and that was below what we need, so that killed the deal. That deal was 250 miles from home and the dealer was pretty easy to deal with. I cannot opine on how the closing would go, but I have no reason to doubt it would have gone well.

I just want to sing the praises of Mark Dodge. I was going to wait until I was due for an oil change to test drive a 2025. I found one locally I liked and checked it out. Only downside was the lack of the power up tailgate feature on the multi-function tailgate which sucks because I like the Ram’s head better than the huge letters across the tailgate. Anyway that killed it for me (sounds petty I know) and I wasn’t married to the color. I was shocked at how quiet and smooth the Hurricane is though.

I wasn’t in a rush to buy but I usually keep an eye out to see what Mark has. I ended up pulling the trigger on a 2025 Night Edition limited. MSRP was $90,100 with $18.5 in discounts and rebates. With my 2020 trade I was OTD at 42K. Never felt like I was getting a bad deal or making a mistake buying. Now I’m just waiting to work out the shipping logistics.

Nothing against dealerships but after this experience I’ll never step foot in a dealership again if I can help it unless I’m test driving something I want to buy.

Sound like a great outcome, Congrats! (y) I wish i had 18.5K in rebates wow, i only got 9, but after saying no a few times they took about 5 more off which surprised me. So i had 14K off on a bighorn that was 64K configured the way i wanted so only 50 (including delivery). Its just a truck haha, plenty of bells and whistles for me and intended use, but i love the Limited Interior, will surely be looking to swap out interior parts to Limited as i go if possible. Can't believe no LED taillights, that bugs me, the rest is amazing. Well, will be when i take delivery. That SO I6 is a rocket too, unbelievable, can't imagine how great the HO is, but less MPG with that and i don't need more than SO. Who am i kidding, If they said hey Free HO in a bighorn (they don't offer HO in bighorn) i would have said ok and lived with the MPG. :ROFLMAO:
