Ram 1500 orders - Tell Us About Yours!

I am new and I apologize if this has been asked many times..
I am looking at a new 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn. Does the Tread Lightly group discount work on any Ram 1500 and does it have to be ordered or can it be on a lot? I am in Central New York. Do you know if people have been getting a better discount with delivery from Mark Dodge (quite the delivery from Louisiana) than the Tread Lightly discount?
Thanks in advance on any help as I may have to sign up for Tread Lightly with the 30 days before the month ends if incentives disappear.
The tread lightly discount is additive at Mark Dodge. You basically spend $100 to get something like $700 off the price so not bad for 10 minutes of your time to sign up.

I've never heard anything bad about Mark Dodge here or elsewhere. In fact, nothing but good things. However, I got mine through Faulkner in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and it was also an amazing experience.

Both dealers have amazing prices. Mark Dodge was about $1,500 cheaper for me even considering delivery. I decided to go to Faulkner because it's driving distance.

The tread lightly discount works with any truck as long as you buy from a dealership that chooses to honor the discount; not all dealerships will. You also have to be a tread lightly member for at least 30 days before you can get a discount code.

I just got my 2025 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn last Friday (purchased from Mark Dodge). Sticker was $87,880 and I paid $68,968 before TTL (so 21.5% discount). After Texas TTL the total came to $73,381.49. I felt like it was a great deal.

For reference my previous truck was a 2022 Ram 1500 Limited that stickered for $74,505 and cost me $72,263.66 before TTL (3% discount). Of course finding any truck to buy in February 2022 was tough to do (got in a wreck that totaled the 2020 Ford I had before that). This was also before I knew about Mark Dodge and I feel like I probably could've gotten a better deal if I'd known then what I know today.

Nice! Sounds like a great deal. I just signed up for Tread Lightly on the 1st so hopefully I can utilize it on the 30th if need be to use April's incentives. I also just contacted Mark Dodge and Faulker to get the ball rolling. I'm not sure how much delivery would be to go from Louisiana to New York. Did you have to do any "haggling" to get that price with Mark Dodge or do they immediately give you the best offer?

No haggling at all with MD. Anthony has a post on here where he spells out exactly what their discounts are and they stuck to that. Super painless process and totally transparent with no funny business at the end or any high pressure sales tactics for extended warranties or anything like that.

When I talked to MD a little more than 18 months ago, delivery from LA to central CT would have been about $1300. I'm sure that's gone up a little now, but probably still in the same ballpark.

MD was very easy to communicate with, but I wound up buying my truck from Koons in VA to save the delivery cost...flew from CT to VA for $150, signed paperwork and drove home the same day. Koons was also very easy to deal with, sold me the truck for essentially the same price as MD, and saved money not having to worry about delivery.

I chatted with a salesman from Koons. I don't know if this is typical of all places, but he said on custom orders there is a $1000 non-refundable deposit. They just give me the MSRP at order and then deal when delivered due to not knowing the deals for the month (both for dealer and incentives for customer). Not the best situation if I already waited and have $1000 invested. Was your truck ordered custom or on the lot already?

When I ordered mine, I had a $1000. refundable deposit. Made the best deal possible with all incentives/rebates at time of order. If the rebates were better at time of delivery, I would be able to rework the deal. I actually got an extra $2k at delivery due to an added existing Stellantis lease customer rebate that wasn't available when I ordered my Ram.

Never order a truck from a dealer who says your deposit is unrefundable. Even with what's going on in todays market.

Seems like Koons have changed their deal a little bit since my order in July 2023. My price was guaranteed up front, incentives were the better of what was available at time of order or time of delivery, but I did have to make a $500 non-refundable deposit.

I didn't have a problem with the deposit because there was no foreseeable reason not to finish the deal when I knew up front what I would have to pay. From the dealer's perspective, they ask for a non-refundable deposit to discourage people from custom ordering trucks, then backing out of the deal and leaving them with a custom truck they may struggle to sell.

I did a factory order from Koons as well in February. It is basically the same as Mark Dodge and I can drive there from PA in 4 hours so I save on shipping plus possibly trade my old truck with them as well. I am locked in on the rebates that they can with taking anything better at time of delivery. I don't have a problem with the non refundable deposit because I understand their perspective to people backing out of the deal. If you want a rock bottom price for a custom order then you have to have a little skin in the game.

I haven't had too much conversation with the salesman from Koons. He sounded new as he had to double check on some of my questions. Don't remember his name as it was only one call and I'm bad with names. He had what seemed like an Australian ascent. He was also suppose to text me right away to somehow send over the pdf of the build. Would think it would be by email. I'm going to call tomorrow and possibly request a new salesperson. I have also entered my contact info into Mark Dodge website twice without a response. Second time was last night so hopefully they will contact me tomorrow or I can just give them a call.

What rebates did they lock you in for? All $6500 of the total cash allowance? I won't have the conquest. I will have the FCA 1% under if it helps from Tread Lightly and the $1000 from the Ram website. I'm assuming the first responder discount doesn't include nurses. Also did they require $1000 or $500 deposit?

Talk to Brian Hillerich, he handled my deal. As of now tungstens rebates are 5K which is what I am locked in at. They took off about 11K from MSRP so with rebate comes to about 16K total.
The deposit is 1K non refundable. Also, they do have a 995.00 Doc fee that is higher than some other dealers so keep that in mind. However, if you live within driving distance it is a good deal even if it is 500 to 1,000 more than Mark Dodge.

anyone realize there are literally no forged blue trucks out there? most everything is white, silver, and black. a few reds but even fewer granite grey and no forged blue. I was told I could order one in a long bed but they can't do a short bed forged blue and 2025 orders are almost done.

2025 RAM 1500 Limited Longhorn 4x4
  • Diamond Black
  • Trailer Tow Group
  • Bed Utility Group
  • Limited Level A
  • Dual-Pane Sunroof
  • Multi-Function Tailgate
Ordered it from Mark Dodge on January 25th, took delivery on March 28th. I absolutely love the interior. My last truck was a 2022 Limited so pretty much the same thing, but I'm really digging the tan interior and little Longhorn touches vs the black.

I've put 1,458 miles on it with the last ~200 miles towing my 7x16 enclosed trailer that's an absolute wind sail (7.5' head height clearance inside so overall about 9' tall trailer). I'll admit I kinda miss the rumble of the Hemi, but when it comes to towing I find I don't miss the V8 at all; this HO straight 6 is super smooth and has a TON of power.
