The wheel itself wouldnt match, but would have a normal tire,.on 18" wheel, that matches the tires on your 22s. Some of the factory spare tires only come with a temporary use tire, and not a real tire that could be used for longer time.

Thats what my 23 Ltd has, the full size rim and 1/2 tread temp tire. Definately not a long term use item.

Drove it to look at a couple of 2024 2500’s. Not sold on one at all. I will say the limited drove a lot better and was more comfortable than the Rebel. I think I’ll wait on the RHO. I don’t need a $94k 2500. If I had a boat or trailer to pull I’d consider it more.

of course... 1500s are individual front axles while the 2500s are solid axles, so of course the 1500s will ride and drive better.

that is until you start the upgrades on suspension and steering assists.
also you don't need a $94k 2500 when you can just order one for 0ver $10k under msrp lol

Do you not have the full size spare with real tire? If not, might as well order five tires to make your spare actually useful.

So what would happen if you temporarily use a slightly undersize spare, let's say currently running 34" tires and spare is a 32"?

I'm genuinely curious if mechanically could it damage anything if on the rear axle?

It would look funny for a bit but wondering if that's it? I see people all the time driving cars for weeks on little donut tires. Obviously not ideal but doubt the factory would supply undersize spares knowing that some idiot will drive for a 1000 miles and ruin their drivetrain.

It would look funny for a bit but wondering if that's it? I see people all the time driving cars for weeks on little donut tires. Obviously not ideal but doubt the factory would supply undersize spares knowing that some idiot will drive for a 1000 miles and ruin their drivetrain.

In that case, put the spare tire in the front, and move a matching size front tire to the rear. Running mismatched tires can damage the differential. Just don't engage 4-auto or 4-high with wrong size tire on the front.

275/65R18 correct? I think a cheap tire like this should be good enough for the spare.

Or should 255/70R18 be better fitment to go under the bed?

The tire width is not the problem, and it is far enough "up under" the bumper, etc to be concealed and protected. Only the diameter is questionable. Check other threads for max tire diameter.

I have to be honest.. directions weren’t the most clear, doesn’t seal it up tight..but it is better.

I bought the ESI kit off Amazon over the winter for about $32. I give it an 8/10.
Better, not perfect.

I have the same kit waiting for a good day to get it done. I looked at the instructions and agree that they're a little confusing. My hope has been that it will make sense when I'm actually hands-on the install. Guess I'll see soon...

First things first.. where they tell you to use the square type seal on the back of the RamBox, I‘d tell you to make it go ALL the way to the bed rail. that whole area, both sides, need to be sealed.
the bottom corner of the tailgate itself, very confusing.

There’s a video, I watched it a long time ago.. but didn’t this past weekend. That’s on me. Should have. Good luck.
Its definitely better, but I put an LED light in the bed with the gate shut and still saw a little light on the bottom corners of the tailgate.
From a typical rain storm.. I think I’m good.
I use a directional power washer or hose.. good chance a little gets in. Better than what it was…so good luck.

After a quick search, some people reported 34" without modifications. So any 33 tire should work.
