Wheel and Tire Overview

With the off-road package and 4x4 with air suspension on a limited 2109 1500, the OEM tires are 275/55R20. The 22inch wheel is not an option with the packages listed above. I had to chime in here as you are taking this exactly where I am trying to go. I want to know with out any lift kit and stock as I have listed above, what is the largest size A/T I can put on this truck without rubbing. My truck is "being built" and will be delivered at the end of July.

I've been looking for much of the same, Air Suspension with Off Road Package, and the largest I've found posted on the forums is 35x11.50 R20 (note the +20 offset). Also the stock ORP/ORG alone without air suspension seems like it can fit 34.8" on 20s .

I just got mine back from the dealership after having wheels/tires installed. I’m running a 2019 Limited; Air Suspension; Off-Road Group/Package (adds extra 1” lift); long bed, and had Fuel Vapors (20x9 +20 offset) with Nitto Ridge Grapplers 35x11.50. Zero rubbing at full lock, zero cutting. After searching this site, reviewing multiple threads, I’m confident that this is the largest tire (20”wheel) you’ll fit on a limited with air suspension. Had I not added the off-road package, they would have rubbed. Less than 1/2” clearance at full lock. View attachment 25401
285/75R18 (34.8" x 11.5") Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT on Fuel 18 x 9 1.
No rub, excellent ride, no cabin noise difference noticed.
Bighorn with ORP and 3.92s.
Planning to swap the Mopar side steps that were already dealer installed for Go Rhino Domininator D6. If anyone in Toronto area interested in Mopars...View attachment 28815View attachment 28816View attachment 28818View attachment 28819View attachment 28823

Just put 275 65 20 Goodyear Ultra Terrains on the OEM wheels, 2019 Laramie with ORG/ORP - fit easy, no rub at all, think I might have been able to get 285's in a 65 under there...lots of room.

Nicely done and if the garage is clean that means we aren’t using it as intended lol.

I tried ordering a 18X 9 aftermarket wheel with the same offset and it rubs the calipers! Has anyone been able to find an after market 18" wheel that fits the 2019 Ram?

I had the same problem. i ordered a set of 18s from Discount tire and according to their system the rims should have fit no problem. They clear the rear calipers, but not the front. They had these https://www.discounttire.com/buy-wheels/level-8-mk6 in stock and they clear no problem. I honestly thought the rims were ugly until i had them installed. i get compliments on the rims everyplace i go now and i think they look way better on the truck. Ill be throwing 33's on them before winter.

I flipped through all the pages on this thread and didn't catch anyone with Offroad package without air. Mine came with 275/55/r20, anyone know the tallest you can go on the stock rims without rubbing? I would assume 285/60/R20's would fit, but it's been years since i have looked at bumping up tire size.

Looking into the same tire size 285/60/20 on Limited Rims stock suspension though - no offroad package

Anyone know the minimum wheel diameter for the 2019’s?

Almost pulled the trigger on 17x8.5” method NV’s (plenty of 4th gen’s run them) but a quick check behind my stock 18x8 wheels paused that plan: only about 1/8” clearance at calipers(!).

You are correct

Yes KMC XD143 RG3 fit fine.

I installed a set of 275/60/20 cooper discoverer at3 4s on my 2019 bighorn, stock height, stock wheels. It will rub at absolute full turn. Just barely but enough to hear it for sure.

285/65/R20 Ridge Grappler on a Limited w/ Off-road package (including air ride) and a Revel/Daystar level.

No rubbing whatsoever - love the setup.

Isn't center bore really important? Checking into some Fuel rims and they have 108 center bore

Does the aftermarkt 18” wheel issue affect all models Or is it just the Laramie? I may be ordering a bighorn sport and would want 18” wheels. I like to see more tire on my wheels. But, I would eventually replace the stockers with aftermarket, and would hate to see my options limited to what would fit.

Have my first Ram 1500 on order. Laramie crew cab 4x4 with off road package and Night edition. I believe it comes with the 22 in rims I typically will run 2 sets of tires because of our Canadian winters. Is there any reason I couldn't use some OEM 18's for my second set. Also from what the research I have done is basically the TPMS will auto relearn each season when you switch over as long as you have the right sensors.

Fellow Canadian you can use OEM 18 inch wheels, I previously did. Sensors will pick up by themselves.
