So I bought a new Ram 2500 Longhorn with rear air suspension on Friday. I was able to test drive 3 trucks with all 3 suspension options and in my opinion the air ride rear is by far the smoothest riding truck of the 3. The trick is and I'm unsure why the dealership can't get this right but the...
Pulled this off a 2500 press release
Suspension:
Heavy Duty trucks generally have a suspension equipped for constant, heavy payloads. A byproduct of that is a harsher ride when unloaded. To combat that Ram is using Frequency Response Damping (FRD) shocks on all four corners. The valves of an...
I’m buying a gas 2500 this weekend and I’ve narrowed the search down to 2 trucks. Both have all the options I want including ext/int color but one has off road package and other has auto leveling air rear. I’ll be towing as much as I go off road which is minimal.
My question is, which...
I have a 4x4 1500 with the 3.92 rear end and axle lock. My truck has developed a high pitched whine between 1500-2000 rpms and my dealer says it's normal for that setup. They opened it up to see if there were any shaving it was clean, then they changed the fluid and nothing changed. The...
just measured and found the issue. For the record I have 5 inches of travel from entry/exit to OR2. my issue is the rear drivers side is 1/2 lower on all levels compared to passenger side. Front D and P side are dead even.
thank you for all the replies. Just to confirm from entry/exit to OR2 the front should have a total of 4inches of travel? Can a 2nd member confirm that in the front only.
My truck recently went in to have the compressor replaced and now that I have the truck back I am convinced OR1 and OR2 do not raise it to the same hieght as beforel. I have multiple pictures of what it use to look like but am asking for help confirming. Will someone please post a measurement...
Thanks! The positive reviews I read made me get them on my prior Silverado. They lasted long, looked great, and were quite so I got them for my new rig.
I love the look compared to the stock 45's. My truck is on air ride suspension and I tested to see if I had any rub and there is a little rub at full lock when the truck is in exit/entry level. Ride quality is great and tires are not noisy.
I have a new 1500 Longhorn and wanted to lift the front, has any one run these links on a 2019? Did the ride quality change?
