I have recently heard a new knock coming from the engine when it’s above 60° F outside and I start the engine when it’s already warm.
For example, I backed in a trailer and turned the truck off and realized I wasn’t far enough back. When I started the truck back up (~20 seconds) I heard 3-4...
That's a good point, overheating would definitely be a concern. I was thinking about it a little more and I have two options; keep in mind I'm only ever going to be pulling 10A at the MOST, but usually 5A for now.
1) Wire in a quick disconnect so I can just pull the battery out the back of the...
I've been looking into adding an auxiliary for secondary features such as lights and a DC-AC converter for the back of the pickup so I won't have to leave the truck idling while running these accessories.
I picked out a 100 Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate Deep Cycle Battery (LiFePO4) with a 12V 20A...
That was a big selling point for me, not having to mess with compressing the old spring and removing it so I'm still debating it. I saw you had the 285/65 R20s on there, do they rub at all? I was looking at getting that same size at some point.
I've read some good things about the ride quality too. I'd like to get 34s on there sometime but I'll still have the ~31.5s (whatever stock is in Imperial lol) on there for a while. I was concerned about the tire looking too small but I think it looks fine from the ones that I've seen
Thanks for the heads up, I'll probably run with the Bilsten 5100s after everyone's recommendation. Has the ride quality changed at all after you got them installed?
I'm looking to add a 2" leveling kit to the front of my 2021 Laramie (non-air-ride) and I've seen many different suggestions on how to do it.
I've read the spacers typically increase wear and reduce ride quality, so I'm going to upgrade the strut instead. I like the Rough Country M1s, has...
Lol fair enough, I was more getting at the drone inside the cab. I was thinking about the 40 Series Delta Flow and taking off the rear resonators, especially since I'd still have the stock option on there.
I like that idea, it seems more simple than using two. I wonder if this would create a weird case where the frequencies combine and amplify when they hit a certain Hz if the flow is still going through both
I think I'd like to keep the stock muffler as an option if I could fit it under there. I might be able to move the stock muffler closer to the front and squeeze a parallel 3" pipe by it so I can offset the Flowmaster toward the back axle. I don't have the front resonator like the 2019 and 2020s...
I purchased a 2021 RAM 1500 Laramie in 2023 and I'm looking to switch to a different type of exhaust for a more aggressive sound. I have a few common concerns that most people do:
Drone
Waking up the neighbors (I live in an apartment complex)
I don't dislike the stock exhaust, it has been nice...
