I was thinking it would be cheaper to not have to replace the base and easier since I have the red trim on mine that I would need to find a way to swap over if possible. Looking at the price of a new shifter alone it might not save me that much if I can get a good deal on an entire used console...
I'm curious what you had to do to the center console to fit the new shifter and cup holders. Do you have any pics of that? Not having to replace the whole console would save a lot of money.
You all have me paranoid about still having my original battery now. My truck was a May 2019 build and has 32K miles. It sits at least 4 days a week and I have never touched the battery.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I keep looking at them. Wouldn't be something that I would be able to ride that often which is why I don't want to spend $12K on one. Every now and then I see a slightly used one come up for sale for around 7-8. Maybe one day.
How hard are the fuel pumps in these trucks? The last pump I did was in a 94 Silverado and it was actually pretty easy. Unbolted the bed off the frame, moved it back to clear the fuel tank, and switching the pumps was straight forward.
