Any other impressions, good or bad? Got some things on the UC5 retrofit in my 2019 2500 that aren't working with my 12" cluster retrofit. Wondering if a software update will help.

This only works with Uconnect 5's. Uconnect 4 can not do full screen AA or Carplay because it does not support either of them.

First you need to remove your phone from the Uconnect. Then the AI box plugs into the USB for a wired connection and power, and becomes your primary device. Then you wirelessly connect to the AI box with your phone for Android Auto.

I picked up one of the boxes off Amazon as well. It arrived today, I hooked it up, connected it to Wi-Fi to let it update and sort itself out. Paired my phone to it for wireless android Auto, and it worked no problem. Here's a link to the box we're using: https://a.co/d/aIXT70x

Do you guys have the big new full digital cluster in your rebels? I just retrofitted a 2023/24 digital cluster into my 2019 2500, and for some stupid reason, it seems that for some stupid reason ram removed the reliable EVIC trailer light check, leaving us with the very hit & miss Uconnect...

I think you mean ask Uconnect... Google released an android auto update almost 18 months ago that allows android auto to scale to any screen size. It's mildly infuriating that android auto goes full screen, and looks better in my moms Kia Seltos than my Ram with a 12" screen.

So I saw in a recent coming soon propaganda video from ram, one of the 2025 trucks is getting a newer available 14" display. I'd assume that thing will have full screen Android auto, if not it'll be tremendously embarrassing for ram and uconnect. The question is will that just be a new...

Just saw there's a recall for radio firmware because of a reverse camera issue. Claims dealers will start installing updated firmware for the recall November 17. So unless this firmware is getting pushed OTA already, new firmware should be available mid November, but I doubt they bothered to...

That's not entirely true, early UC4's 12" screens did not have Off-road pages, however they were added in later updates.
