I think you mean ask Uconnect... Google released an android auto update almost 18 months ago that allows android auto to scale to any screen size. It's mildly infuriating that android auto goes full screen, and looks better in my moms Kia Seltos than my Ram with a 12" screen.
So I saw in a recent coming soon propaganda video from ram, one of the 2025 trucks is getting a newer available 14" display. I'd assume that thing will have full screen Android auto, if not it'll be tremendously embarrassing for ram and uconnect.
The question is will that just be a new...
Just saw there's a recall for radio firmware because of a reverse camera issue. Claims dealers will start installing updated firmware for the recall November 17. So unless this firmware is getting pushed OTA already, new firmware should be available mid November, but I doubt they bothered to...
I've started hassling them on "X" (AKA twitter) every time Uconnect cares makes a post I respond asking where our full screen AA update is. Feel free to join in: https://twitter.com/UconnectCares . Probably won't get me anywhere but makes me feel like I'm at least annoying someone at Uconnect.
I heard the 2023 T25.48 firmware is getting pushed out to the 2022's OTA. I know that won't enable Full screen AA since I've been running it for a few months, but I'm really wondering what the road map is for the UC5. Is the UC5 going to be around for a while and be properly supported, or is...
Turns out @Jimmy07 took the gamble and uploaded the 2023 firmware to his 2022, and it took. However it created some issues that required him to change the model year setting in his BCM to 2023.
By doing that it fixed some issues but also created new ones with other components in the truck...
Well, I'll be damned, 2023's have a different radio module part number, so they changed the hardware already... I guess everyone with a 2022 may be SOL if Uconnect has already moved on to new hardware/firmware.
As long as the UC5 hardware is unchanged for the next couple model years, they'll add it if it's capable, which it is.
However if they've already got new hardware in the pipeline for say 2024, I could see them writing off the current hardware/firmware as "we've already got their money and it's...
