I have a 2020 RAM Limited with the 12" display. My GPS thinks it's about five miles east of where it is. The "internet" XM channels no longer work and neither does the WIFI hotspot. I've tried all the above magic incantations to reset the thing (none work). Any ideas?
Unfortunately, clearing the codes and "rebooting the controller" doesn't imply a "fix." 43 years in the computer industry doesn't allow me to believe that.
Lucky for you. It seems several of them have failed like mine (there are several complaints referencing this STAR on the NHTSA site). I guess I'm just glad that I wasn't pulling a trailer when the thing decided to give up the ghost on the trailer brakes (I did verify that they no longer...
Amazing what a little googling will do, here's the STAR case...
STAR 2008000015
It was pouring down rain the day this happened and there were some pretty sizable puddles. I wonder if one of the wiring harnesses got wet. If so, it doesn't bode to well for Ram quality of construction.
Suposedly it is fixed, though I don't have any indication that this is a permanent solution. The service summary reads:
Performed diagnostics, found codes:
U1440 Implausible transfer case ration high received
U0418 Implausible data received from brake system control module 1
U040300...
Now the trailer brakes are reporting "needs service." I've got an appointment scheduled Monday with a different dealer than that outright unconscionable fraudulent one that I bought my truck from. Hopefully, this experience will change my opinion about the disaster that my FCM purchase has...
Today I rolled over 3000 on the do and a bunch of things happened:
1. Check engine light is on
2. Stability control light is on.
3. ACC and forward collision warnings show errors
4. I get messages saying to Service various things related to the above when I try to use them.
The Chevy dealership I bought my car from was dishonest and expensive. I would have faired better taking the Volt to the Cadilac dealer across the street from my house (which I was sorely tempted to do). After I moved, I had to have my car towed (I was crossing a grade crossing that had an...
Traded in my old truck right before Christmas for a new RAM. They moved the plates over. On January 8, 2020, I get a new registration card reflecting that change. I didn't even look at it, I just threw it in the glove box. Last week a guy points out my plates are expired. Gee, did I...
As I detailed in another thread, the service department where I bought my truck were outright dishonest. My bed cover was supposed to be installed when I bought the truck. When I finally call parts to find out where it was (it had been back-ordered), they offer to have the service...
Depends what you mean by that. If you're talking about the "cargo rails" that mount above the top of the bed sides, then it will indeed interfere with most of the cover systems. If you're talking about the "utility rails" that mount to the holes on the inside of the bed sides, then it...
It increases/decreases the set speed by ten each time you push the +/- rather than one like the Ram does. The ram goes up by 5 mph if I hold the button down.
