How did you use a rubber mallet to fix it. I'm trying to use my imagination here, but I can barely fit my fingers between the seat and the center console
The bucket seats I have clip in (the top leather) and I've noticed several times that they unclip randomly near the center console. I can reclip them back in, but any amount of pressure will cause them to snap off. I've tested this on both the driver and passenger seat and they both have this...
I got the tires swapped out on last Friday which also improved the ride. Basically, with the swapping out of the tires and antivibration dampers seemed to fix all of my shaking. I know I'm a little paranoid about this so I had my wife take the truck for a drive shortly after getting the new...
Just got the truck back from the dealer. I was told that they replaced the vibration dampers, and that the tech drove the truck and verified that it's ride is better. I was pretty skeptical, but on my way back to work I drove it down a stretch of the freeway that always has issues and noticed...
worth a shot. Have you tried it yet?
Also, I just heard back from the dealer. The vibration damper replacement parts just arrived so I'll be taking it in tomorrow to get it fixed. We'll see how it goes...
Are you saying that you're experiencing the same thing? Like there are stretches of the interstate where you can't even talk. Where it shakes so much that you almost get motion sickness? This can't be normal. I see trucks all over this freeway and I find it hard to believe that they all drive...
There are a few stretches of freeway that I travel every week where the seams of the concrete cause a large amount of bouncing. The kind of bouncing that makes it hard to talk. I've never had that issue with any of my other cars. Although admittedly I've never driven a truck on that freeway...
So have I. From what the tech said the problem is that its firing when it shouldn't and not firing when it should. Unplugging them would only solve the first problem, not the second. I'm not saying this is 100% the problem. I'm just passing along the information I've received so far.
I do...
Update: just heard back from the dealer that only one MDS damper arrived. The other won't arrive for another two weeks so they won't swap them out until then. I send another update once they arrive and are installed
I've been having a similar problem. I've taken it in 3 times to the dealer and got the whole "this is how it drives", or "seems normal to me" load of crap.
Today I took it in for a 4th time and finally got to work with the tech. Very nice and professional. During our drive he literally...
Does anyone know what this part is/does? It's underneath the driver side door. I was looking at my sway bar (thinking of upgrading it) and noticed that this was being held on my sticky tape in the back. It looks like it's supposed to be held on by some plastic bolts/threads, but they are all...
Looks like that's what I'll need to do. Just got the truck back from the dealer, and I got the usual "that's just what they drive like". They admitted that they feel the bumps in the road, but nothing out of the ordinary. I'll swap out the tires and install a new sway bar to see if that...
