Wild Electrical issues fixed

Here is another one to add to the list:

There are a bunch of connectors under the steering wheel behind the parking brake switch. You can reach underneath and wiggle some of the wires to check. The solder joints aren't the best quality.

Two Philips screws are behind the access panel under the parking brake switch. Once those are out you can reach your hand in and push the access panel out on the side where the dash meets the door.

Here is a youtube video of someone else explaining it better than I did:

@Jimmy07

please comment on this.

Have you seen it before?

I experienced similar issues as described above last week. Got it towed to the dealer, diagnosed as a bad cluster. No eta on parts and cannot drive the truck until the new pre programmed part arrives.
Hi there, feel free to send our team a private message for an extra layer of assistance alongside the dealer.

My truck is at the dealer currently with some of these same symptoms. No bus, all kinds of service systems warnings, engine running with loss of certain electrical functions and gauges but truck still drives normal until it cuts off while driving after 5-6 minutes.
I know this is old but I've been having the same issue, any fix?

Yeah. I haven’t had this issue in a long time anymore. I had a connector that was recommended on here replaced that’s behind the headlight switch to the left of the steering wheel. I believe that is what fixed it. And also making sure my truck battery was fully charged by putting it on a trickle charger.

Thank you! Did your power to your cabin also stay on or go full shut down when opening the driver door as well? Been chasing it for a little while now. Battery was just tested good, only 1 year old. I have the etorque as well which auto start stop still works so wasnt sure if the 48v battery was going out. RF module was my next guess but I fixed that rear wondow leak when I first got the truck. Might have to check for corrosion or maybe a bad ground if nothing else works.

I had two separate electrical issues that would happen. Most of the time the truck would give me warnings like a ton of service different systems codes popping up, all dash warning lights on and then after so long the electrical would stop working then shortly after would like blip and it would cut off the engine and everything would come back online but I would have to start the truck again. This happened while driving numerous times. Other thing it would do was randomly have no electrical power and I would have to wait for a couple minutes then it would come back. The green star connector is what was replaced behind the dash and making sure my battery was always all the way charged up were the only things I did. I haven’t had the problem in at least a year and a half

Thanks a lot man. Sam

Thanks a lot! Same exact thing I'm dealing with. That star connector was my next go to
