2026 HEMI or Hurricane?

So what oil was being used in the engine these parts came from? That info is not disclosed in the report.

Also, that report is from 2018, so doesn't cover the current Hemi with revised lifters

Loving the HO I6, came out of an ‘18 Denali with a 6.2 and it’s a dog compared to the Hurricanes, and I loved the 6.2, but I had to disable the V4 mode for it to drive smoothly and the GM 8 speed was crappy, had shudder issues and clunky shifts starting. Would pick the TT Hurricane all day long over any of the NA V8’s available today.

26 gal is standard and 33 gal option is no longer on the website build. I'm not towing 7k# much over 200 miles with the standard 26 gal tank.

Although I believe you, I don’t see 33 gal tank listed in the specs for any of the models on the Ram website and looking at 2026 Laramie specifically. Looked at a 2026 Laramie window sticker and it’s not listed there either.

Weird. Just looked and I see the 33 gallon tank listed as a $445 option on the 2026 Laramie 4x2, but not the 4x4.

Ram really needs to do better on their site.

Third choice...5.0 F150

I was honestly considering this but 5.0 F150 has a wet belt now which looks to be a nightmare. Went with the 2026 Rebel Hurricane and happy so far

I've had both the 2004 Hemi and now have a 2025 Hurricane SO. I would go with the Hurricane all day long! Way better, more power, smoother and quicker.

2004 Hemi only had 345 HP, I had one in a Durango and the 2011 Hemi 390 hp that replaced it was much stronger for towing. My 2022 Hemi is more of the same for towing. I vote Hemi

Horsepower is a sales gimmick, torque is what does the work. The SO hurricane has 469 lb ft of torque vs the HEMI @ 410. That's a 15% increase that you can definitely feel and it comes in at a lower RPM.
