IF I remember today. I can get a fender to middle of wheel measurement for reference?I did measure my Fox PE 883-06-166 and they are set from the factory at 15 threads/1.125" threads exposed...now if I definitively knew what that would be equated to in ride height(?)!!
Much thanks!IF I remember today. I can get a fender to middle of wheel measurement for reference?
Looks to be 24" give or takeMuch thanks!![]()
Excellent..I can referance yours to mine then. Your on 285/65R20s correct..oops, guess that doesn't matter wuth that way of measuring. TYLooks to be 24" give or take
Correct, but that won't matter for fender to center of wheel.Excellent..I can referance yours to mine then. Your on 285/65R20s correct?
Dang..you're faster than meCorrect, but that won't matter for fender to center of wheel.
I've almost finished my coffee, otherwise I'm definitely slow in the AMDang..you're faster than me![]()
Interesting...I'm at 23.5-23.625" fender edge to hub center with Eibach 1.625" level lift.Looks to be 24" give or take
My measurement is with Laramie fender flares as well. I see you have a Laramie, but do you have the flares? I thought they removed them after a certain year, but could be thinking of something else. @mplaramie is sitting slightly higher with a smaller tire.Interesting...I'm at 23.5-23.625" fender edge to hub center with Eibach 1.625" level lift.
My fender edge to ground measurement OEM was 37", Eibach set to 1.625", so 38.625" with OEM wheels..that is now 39.25" with the 285/60R20 Ascents..only 0.625" lift instead of 0.8" predicted change (33.5" - 31.9" = 1.6" / 2 = 0.8")..but I'm running lower psi, so maybe shorter height therefore(??).
Still, I'm about 0.5" less than you (fe to hc) with my 1.625" current lift, so I may need to turn my PEs another 1/4" of thread to get another 1/2" fe to hc lift..1.0" total.
Curious(??) I'll have to think on this more.![]()
I have a '24 Larry G/T..no flare from factory, but I added them with the new shoes. My measurement is with Laramie fender flares as well. I see you have a Laramie, but do you have the flares? Hey, are you sure you're not at 2.0" lift??My measurement is with Laramie fender flares as well. I see you have a Laramie, but do you have the flares? I bought the BDS 3" lift kit with rear coils, but I don't have my before measurements. @mplaramie is also running the 3" kit I believe. If I ran any higher I'd be nose high over the rear. Without previous measurements and knowing if I went any higher I'd be nose high, but I also have the topperHey, are you sure you're not at 2.0" lift??
I think Fox factory sets these at 2.0" lift.
My 23.5" is edge of fender flare to hc.
My 23.625" is compensated to fender edge (no flare) to hc.
I'm on a Solid 1.625" lift with the Eibachs.
My 23.625" is 0.375" less than your ff to hc measure.
Your 285/65 should be ~0.30" taller than my 285/60 (34.1 - 33.5 = 0.60 / 2 = 0.30").
You are just over that 0.30" at 0.375". My 285/60 is measuring shorter than predicted..I even had to adjust down my AlfaOBD speed mm from initial 2585mm to 2570mm to get speedo sync'd wuth JBV1 GPS and traffic sign speed signs.
I have been thinking I'd have to adjust my PEs by about 0.30-0.375" over factory setting (if factory is actually 2.0")..and your numbers seem to verify that..IF you are actually set at factory set height..AND if factory is 2.0"..which I'm betting it is (I sent Fox Tech a message over the weekend asking that question).
A 1.0" further lift with PEs (2.625" & 285/60s) wull bump my 39.25" to 40.25" fe to ground..I thought I remember you at around 40.5-40.625"??
I've thought about throwing in a 1" spacer to bring back a little more rake as I don't care for a level truck. Right now roughly .5" rake. That would put me around 1.5" which is what I like. I'm just not sure the hassle is worth the 1"Man, I wish I could get back some of my brain cells to really do some math on this..I'll try, but the years (days, and last weekend) of&
seem to have slowed me down

The Eibach rear coils say 1"-1.5" which would be .5" more than the stock Rebel coils. I didn't think it would actually be 1.5 but it was. And I didn't think I could notice .5 inches by eye. But I can. And... it turns out it doesn't make any difference. They are much more progressive than the stock coils(go figure). Very nice for high speed with no load. Not so great when you have a load. So, I added airbags. Talk about a rabbit hole. So, do your research and decide if it is really something you want to do. Make sure the one's you want are the one's you need.I've thought about throwing in a 1" spacer to bring back a little more rake as I don't care for a level truck. Right now roughly .5" rake. @mplaramie what do you have fender to center of wheel?
Huh, again interesting! The Eibach rear coils say 1"-1.5" which would be .5" more than the stock Rebel coils. I didn't think it would actually be 1.5 but it was. I totally understand your excitement. But, take your time and do it right. The Eibach's are for off roading. Something I really wanted. As time went by and I began bringing more stuff with me(guns and ammo are heavy) they bogged down under the load. They are great if I'm just exploring. In fact, they are awesome. They just aren't designed for hauling loads. The airbags make a great difference and when I'm unloaded I air them down. Just not what I had originally planned for.Huh, again interesting!
I have a pair of 1" Eibach rear springs I plan to use when I pop in the Fox PE DSCs, but I also have a pair of ORP 1" rear springs in case I don't like them..I like my OEM rears, and my ORPs are matched over to the ORPs.
I got the Thuren Trackbar on yesterday..I'm sure it is psychological, but truck seemed to track better today.
Had to order a better HighTorque Impact, Breaker Bar, etc to bust loose the F-ing 215ft/lb rear U/L CAs, so new Thurens not on yet!
Anxious to get the rear suspension done so I can get the Foxs on.
