Fox 2.5 DSC Suspension - A Brief Overview, Procedure, and Review of Proper Suspension Setup

I was just looking at Fox 2.5 CO Spanner wrenches on Ebay..I'm gonna assume the COs don't come from Fox with one??
i don't think they come with.
while you're at it, get yourself one of the range industries knob tool too:

Already have the Etsy H&L wrench in my Rambox..patiently waiting (but may get a Range also)🤗

I went the simple route and did the BDS 3" kit with the SuspensionMaxx front end links, Core 4x4 jj and poly rear, metalcloak bump stops and a Hellwig 7793 on the current my24 Ram. Don't do any off roading. Just some gravel roads and camping trails very rarely. Thought about Carli but was scared of the new shocks not being proven and I liked the Fox PE adjustability.

Quick note, when I originally installed the Core 4x4 CA's, Trackbar, end links, they were backwards. Once i changed to have the poly at frame, it made a difference.

The Fox PE gave me about 2.8" front and the springs settled just under 1.5". My Ram has about 3/4" rake which works for me. Dead level can make our trucks look nose high.
At your leisure, any chance you could get me a measurement of how much thread is showing on your front PEs?
Your Preload collar should be threaded down ~3/8-4/10 if the '0.5" thread change equals 1.0" ride height change' ratio is correct(?).
I think no thread exposed is 2.0" lift, but I don't know.
I want to set mine to 2.625-2.75" lift, so your 2.8" would be a good measure to base mine off of.
Thanks in advance!
My rear 883-26-079 PEs showed up today (front 883-06-166 are coming tomorrow) ...CRAP, these things are BEEFY!!

Do you happen to know your measurements fender to ground and what size tire? I'm curious compared to mine.

Any measurements you might have of your front PE threads would be appreciated also, if possible.
Trying to avoid having to reset after installing..probably will need small adjustment no matter what though.

Do these help? I'm 40 3/4" ground to fender. 285/50/22 AT3 tires.

Ok, so I tried something crazy. I went to 6 High and 1 Low and it works for me. Not too much body roll and just enough softness for everyday driving. Crazy how tunable these shocks are. :)

Ugh...haaa, now I'm just getting confused🤯
Interesting info🐎
lol, I know. I am on a 6in BDS lift. So not sure if that makes a difference and on 285/55R22 LT 3 ply sidewall tires. not that 6H/5L was bad but I wanted to see if I could get a better plushier ride while on the roads here in FL and played with the settings a bit more. Plan was to knock it down 1L and then work up ever few days to see what the differences were. I ended up leaving it on 1L. lol

Everyone's truck is going to be different. You've got to tweak the settings until you get it where you like it. Then there are different settings for more specialized off roading. Then you have to reset it for the road again. There just is no substitute for going under the truck and playing with the settings. Otherwise, you spent way too much money for a suspension you aren't really using.

My 883-06-166 PEs showed up this week..interestingly, both are factory set with ~15 threads showing..pretty much like yours.
I would've thought Fox would set them at 2.0", and then up to user to adjust from there.
I may have to call Fox Tech Support to find out what they come set at for ~height and what the collar adjust ratio is to change that height before installing.

They're set for the 3" kit I'm guessing.
