Posted a new Video on installation and checking all of the Mopar 2" lift kit on a dark grey 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn. Sits on Fuel wheels, 35x11.5 Nitto Ridgegrapplers. Lemme know what you guys think of the truck and what could make it better/more appealing. Were gonna add the mopar static running boards as well.

Was that the stock suspension. No Off Road package. I was looking at that for my Rebel that I will be ordering but it already has the Off Road package so that is already one inch. Will the 2 inch lift add the 2 inches or just 1.

The truck I did this to was standard suspension. The lift is attained in the front with the strut assembly being longer and in the rear with the spring spacer. I’m not sure if the rebel’s have a spacer in the rear already or not.

So once you lift a truck you have to re-program the speeddometer?

No. My understanding is new FCA products will "learn" when you make tire outer diameter size changes and adjust accordingly over time. Also supposedly for newer durangos the speedo supposedly will not be incorrect do to the manner and location of the speed sensor (not sure about the Ram?).

I changed from 30.5 to 32" on my 2015 durango (only 3.09 gears) and can attest that the computer learned to adjust shift points and such pretty good. Also have not noticed any speedometer issues with it being off even with navigation/GPS speed. I switch back to stock 30.5 for winter.

Would it look ridiculous if I got the 2in Mopar lift kit and kept my stock 2in rims and tires? I am new to this lift kit stuff.

I'd look at pics or videos of an air suspension truck set at offroad 2 (about 2" lift over stock) with the stock tires to see if you like that. Personally, i think it would look fine and when you upgrade or switch from stock tires i'd replace with a 33" tire to fill the wheel wells more. 35s look good but are a little stuffed into a 2" lift and also negatively impact final drive ratio too much (not too mention are expensive)

Thanks I really appreciate the help. my 19 has the off road package with the 1in lift but if I get the 2in Mopar lift kit i still will be at 2in right? not 3in.

Correct, my understanding is you'd only gain 1" over the offroad height or 2" over the standard non-offroad trucks. I'd wait until you get it though before deciding/ordering the 2" mopar.

I'm not sure if the 2" mopar lift/levels the front more vs the rear or not, that may be a difference.

Yes, the speedometer is off and the 1500’s do not have a way to reprogram the tire sizes using the factory scan tool. At 40 mph the Speedo is off 3 mph...at 60 mph the speedo is off 6 mph. Hypertech has a programmer available and we will have ours in a few days to be able to handle these 2019 upfits.

In our circumstance we went from factory to 35” tires

In the video, you mention you wouldn’t do the lift for trucks with the air suspension. Is the mopar 2 inch lift a possibility for trucks the air suspension? I thought I read somewhere that it was not available for air suspension. Any insight you have would be appreciated.

It raises the front and rear the same amount, so it’s less of a leveling kit than just an even lift kit. The 35x11.5 nitto ridgegrapplers had about 1” of clearance at the closest points of full turns..

It is NOT an accepted option yet for the air suspension and no this kit would not work, especially for the front on an air suspension truck. I said this because the fact that most of the 17’s and 18’s I’ve lifted that DID say they’d work for air suspension had nothing but problems, mostly bc the rear bags either overextend or come out of position and fail. If you talk to upfitters like Rocky Ridge, they will either refuse or HIGHLY advise against doing one of their lift kits on an air suspension dodge. Most people buy the air suspension for a better ride, and I’m just saying that if you felt how good the ride of this truck felt, even with 35” tires, you’d be amazed and I couldn’t recommend the extra headaches for a truck with it.

I wish I’d have taken a picture of the truck on the standard wheels but the standard wheels and tires sit about 3 1/2 inches or more shorter than the 35x11.50’s. So from that and the end result in the video I guess you could be the judge.

Mine is going in tomorrow to have the Mopar 2” lift added. Sadly I am still on the oem 18” wheels until I man up and decide which wheels that I want lol.
