2025 Tungsten - Good/Bad

Ramit392, does your truck have the MFT? I’m on my 2nd Retrax cover. My previous cover fit 6.5’ beds and when I got my 2022 I had to replace it because of that damn 5.7’ bed.
Anyway, my previous cover had very little water intrusion with a standard tailgate. But the 5.7’ bed with the MFT is a different animal. Huge gaps at the back end. I did buy a rubber seal kit which did help the situation, but I do get water inside at the rear. Not a ReTrax issue really, just a design to have the MFT gate
Hate to hear that. My truck just has the standard remote tailgate, not the MFT. I had to change the bed rails for the Retrax to fit and take off the bed rails that came with the truck to connect the bak-fip ,but my cargo rail tie downs were unaffected. It don't leak even going through car wash.

I believe they did the 2-button reset, but the batteries were also disconnected. Proximity wakeup is still not working along with some other strange anomalies such as my sideview mirrors not remembering their preset position every day or so. I'm also not sure my AEB is working, but do not have an active warning on the dash. I'll head back to the dealer when I have a consistent/active error.
I had the AEB and BSW alerts this morning again. BSW triangles in the side mirrors lit solid. I pulled over once, shut it off, opened and closed doors. It didn’t reset. I tried it about an hour after I parked it and it was cleared again.
The truck is spotless clean. Like showroom… so pretty sure it’s not something on a camera or sensor.

My proximity wake up is not working at all either.

I also have the tow mirrors and the cameras come on the nav screen when I activate the turn signal. This setting keeps turning off every few days and I have to go into settings and turn it back on.

Minor but annoying.

What is this proximity wake up thing? Just kidding! Mine is turned on and hasn't worked yet either.

PWU does not function on mine either. I just assume it's coming out in a few years like the cell phone as a key function.

Same exact thing with me.

Same thing happens to me a couple times a month. I’ve said it before….
Every day is a new adventure.

Yea ok. My standard TG was much more watertight. That said, the MFT is awesome. Along with Ramboxes, air suspension and MFT are a no compromise. Probably would just have to order again.

After a 9 month wait, I finally received my RAM Tungsten from Mark Dodge. After gleaning a lot of information from users on this forum, I wanted to share my experiences after 4 days and 1100 miles:

Good Stuff:
1. Purchased through Mark Dodge (Anthony and team) in Lake Charles LA (I live in MO). The purchase process went well, the price I paid was very fair and in-line with what Mark Dodge offers all buyers. Delivery, and trade-in was seamless and quick. The only minor issues during acceptance were no digital keycard was available (will be sent to me), and the lumbar seat control didn't work; service manager was aware of this problem but did not have a solution. This should have been disclosed. Even with these minor nits, I would still highly recommend Mark Dodge.
2. The truck runs and drives exceptionally well. No drivetrain issues at all, very powerful and smooth.
3. Ride quality is exceptional, as is the cabin comfort.
4. Klipsch sound system is great and as good as if not better that the Bowers and Wilkens system in my Volvo.
5. Hands free driving was easy to use and worked very well (used on and off for at least 150 miles). It did feel to me there was a tendency for the system to hug the left side of the drive lane, but I got used to it.
6. Seat massage function is great.

My first impressions were really good until halfway through my road trip when things started going wrong.

Not so good stuff:
1. Already mentioned the lumbar seat control issue and later found that none of the seat controls in the Uconnect system work (with exception of massage).
2. Automatic Emergency breaking stopped working - service required message.
3. Blind spot monitoring stopped working - service required message.
4. Hands free driving stopped working - service required message.

I don't have any codes for the above issues yet but will share when/if I get them. Taking the truck into the dealer tomorrow and hoping this doesn't turn into a protracted ordeal. At this point I'm pleased with my purchase and expect the issues I'm having to be worked out. That said, this kind of stuff should not happen to start with and point to SW and/or HW quality control problems at the factory. I'll follow-up with dealer fixes.
I wanted to buy one so bad for travel...
"Hands Free Driving"... took it on a test drive and it was subpar. Ok on the interstate but terrible on the state highways and roads.
AND NO HEMI, NO THANK YOU.

I read your comment as "roads" being different than interstates and state highways. If that's correct, then it's worth mentioning that ADA is not supported on "roads".

GM All,
New to the site. I have a 2019 1500 Limited - only owner, 79K miles. I am giving very serious consideration to picking up a brand new 2025Tungsten. I have quickly scrolled through this thread a couple others but this seems most appropriate. At this point it seems the majority of you have had your truck for several months now. Most seem pretty happy with it but definitely some glitches. With that said, would you do it over again, esp those with a previous Limited and any advice if I do go thru with the purchase?

Thanks in advance!

I've had a '19 and '22 Limited. The '25 is the best one so far! Drivetrain is spectacular. I've just had a few minor issues.

Absolutely 100% I'd do it all over again. It's an amazing truck all around. Towing is amazing, the interior is amazing, the stereo is amazing. No regrets at all other than maybe getting a new color. Maybe they'll still have the tungsten in 2028 when I get a new one.

I 2nd your opinion!! I have had 5 Ram trucks all bought new 4 out of 5 I ordered this Tungsten I bought off the lot new in February and I love this truck. It's the best ever out of all of them and the HO Hurricane shocks me with the power it has and so very quiet! The only thing about this truck I HATE is the adaptive Cruse! You cannot like the 2023 Ram, use regular cruise control they omitted for the 2025. Adaptive cruise SUCKS!!!!I bought her in February, and it had 8400 miles already out of 3 cars I own. I just love driving the Tungsten so much! The ride is so smooth over the other rams it's unbelievable, the sound system blows Harmon in the dirt! The 360 Cams are awesome and the format of how they can work is awesome. I cannot say enough about this truck. The first one I had with Ramboxes, and now I live the Ram boxes!! Always ordered without Ram boxes, but this time I took the one on the lot! Even the Perrielli tires are awesome, which on my Hell cat they were terrible tires I dumped for Mechlins in less than 2000 miles!

I have owned 5 new rams, 4 I ordered and this Tungsten I bought off the lot new in February. I like this truck more than any Ram I have ever owned, hands down. Furthermore, I thought about the RHO, but a few things about the RHO made me decide on a limited instead. Before I was going to order a limited, I wanted to drive the new Hurricane I-6. When I arrived at the dealer, they had a Tungsten setting there. I drove it just to see if I would like it and hands down I bought it that day! It had a few little glitches after I bought it, but nothing serious at all or made the new truck be in the shop longer than 30 minutes each time to correct. It had an Oil issue being too full after I changed oil and dealer had to let oil out of it due to the gauge. Furthermore, it has no dipstick. It had a clip come loose on the subwoofer and blowing a speaker. Dealer ordered it and 3 days it came in after 30 minutes it was in and sounded great. I love Klipsch sound system over the HK I had in my 2023 Laramie by far! The power of the Hurricane is awesome compared to 5.7 hemi I had in the 2023. This truck is so quiet and smooth, it blew my mind. Right now it's got 8400 miles on it and had no more Gremlins after the 2000 miles. The truck came with ram boxes I never had before, and I love the Ram boxes!! I took the Bak-flip bed cover off and got a retrax pro for it. My ave. MPG right now combination is 19.3 MPG. 2 MPG a gallon better than my 5.7 did, but you have to run premium in it, so it's a wash. The seats in the rear are cooled & heated with full pull down arm rest console & compartment. I have a many features my Laramie did not have that I like the 360 cams and being able to control them is really nice too. Front seats have massage upper and lower seats with different control features I really enjoy. It came with HD sat radio so I can get all the upper channels I like best. The road sign reads, and self-driving feature is awesome. This truck is the most expensive one I ever had, but I really like it. I never had sunroofs before, but this had the piano sunroof I really like so far and does not leak at car wash like many would do. When I get rid of it I will get me another no problem, but I will order from here on out like I want them to be. This one was close to what I would have ordered, so I went with it. Only complaint I have is ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, it's the only option you get. My 2023 had both adaptive and non. Good luck in your decision for a new Truck.

Yes. It seems to reset back to default of OFF every time I shut the truck off.
Does it stay on when you have a trailer plugged in and in tow? It seems it may have auto off when no trailer is connected? Sensor picking up only when trailer is connected, maybe a feature for towing only or intended as such?
