Subwoofer upgrade results?

i hear ya ! i think i can hear it in here NC LOL. so nice work on the doors and under hood don't let me catch you using wood screws through the floor again :ROFLMAO:
i also went with cdt's but in my stock dash locations Unity 7.5 and ES-02EX.
i have a set of cdt euro 6.75's i tried in the doors but ended up going with a 6x9 mid woofer

Lol but yeah glad I ditched the ds18’s and went with all cdt. I had the truck setup with a 2 way front stage before but after selling my project civic, I decided to go full active 3 way. Now just need to build a new ported enclosure for the new Pioneer subwoofer.

i had a few civics in my day did b-series swap's, 5 crx's,. after it's all said and done the only mod i have been able to keep from car to car to truck is my amp's and most the audio mods so that is normally my focus. if you got the cash i would scoop this up it's a DEAL!!
I had a 8.4 non nav now i have a 12in and i can confirm the 12 in not only looks the part it also has much better signal for processors

Yeah I was going to make the hatch into a boombox, was planning to run about 5K+ watts but I didn’t have time or energy to fully invest into it so I ditched it. Yeah I saw that 12” screen for sale but with the Hertz S8 dsp controlling the sound, I’m good with the 8.4.

yeah i have a rockford DSR-1 DSP. with the 12 the input don't distort at high volume like the 8.4. but if your good with it then great.

I had the dsr1 previously but like you mentioned the sound would get some distortion and I could not get rid of it. I switched to the iDatalink Maestro AR2 which allows you to use any dsp you want, instead of settling for the dsr1. Plus it uses the same t harness that I used for the dsr1 so it was still plug and play.
