What did you do to your Ram today???

Changed the oil and filter yesterday after getting home from trip dirty bike riding, I got home with 5200 miles on the last change which out of quinidine was 50200. I used a full jug of POP and 2q of PUP. Then I moved my tool box from my old job to my new job today but I didn't take a pic.
POP= Pennzoil Platinum?
PUP= ?
I should know but I'm brain dead at the moment

Yep until now I have only been able to get POP at both of the walmarts I shop at. The close one 11 miles only has POP the further one 15 miles now has PUP. Not to get into a debate about oils and such but my engine starts to make noises I dont like at 5k miles. I have probably at most 2 months to change my oil agan on a 5k and it will be all PUP. Then I can see it it makes the same noise after another 5k to determine if its worth the extra cost.

Availability is the only thing so could think of. I've never seen PUP in any local stores around me.

I used PUP for the first time right after I bought the truck. I think I bought it from Walmart and a Mopar oil filter from Amazon.
This was the first oil change I've done to it so I'm going to change it around 3k miles before going more mileage.
I finally got the driver side bed cleaned up, but does anyone know the part number for these clips by chance? They hold the fender flares on.
What are some common fasteners used on these trucks I'll break in the future? Trying to be prepared 🤪

Did an oil change. Trying out the Valvoline "Restore and Protect" 5w3.
Tried out a new Fomoto barbed attachment. Makes connecting a hose to it SO much easier!
Changed out my thermostat as well.

I need to find somewhere to send a sample for analisis to, besides Blackstone. They have a long turn around time.

I did a change with this previously and it was buttery smooth sounding. I'll probably use it every couple changes. Expensive. Like, Amsoil expensive. But it was noticeably quieter. And I think Fumoto started shipping with those attachments pretty recently. The ones I had for previous vehicles never came with any attachments and this time for the RAM I got two different setups included. One is an angled barb and the other is a straight one. Two hoses too!

You can buy them in bulk on Amazon.

What are you doing? Swapping the flares? Was there also adhesive and if so, how fun was that to remove lol. I'd like to take mine off and reseal them. Factory did a very poor job around the bottom corners from what I can see and comparing models like the Rebel, the adhesive looks much better on the black plastic flares than it does on mine.

It's very unlikely I'll get a deal like that especially when they are $71 used now. I'd happily pay $50 for the no name ones.
Since I'm not buying anything until I get some work done on current items it gives me time to watch the used item prices.
Thanks for the info
if you buy from amazon and use Google Chrome, be sure to add Keepa extension.
Keepa tracks the pricing for your specified time period, and you can also setup a target buy price and then the extension/ app will send you an email when the price is within your buy price.

or you can add things to your cart and put it in "buy later" or "reserve for later" or whatever the option is called, and there will be a little notification box telling you if the price goes up or down the first time you go to your cart every day.

what barbed attachment?

and blackstone can take up to a month to run the sample but based on what i know it's still the most trusted out there.

I was planning on installing a new bumper bumper and went down a rabbit hole. Once I removed the bumper I noticed it was a good time to check the spare tire. Once I removed the tire I had to clean and rinse the area. Then I noticed water was still dripping down overnight so I reached in and found the mud flap full of dirt and mud. Now that I had removed the flap I found a ton of dirt around the fender flare so I removed that for a good cleaning and wax.

I'll try Keepa then. I had something similar to that called Camel I think? It went away and wasn't very good.

Thank you for the part number and link. Has anyone here used any Deutsch connectors or other fasteners I might need? I've had a sudden interest for them.
I guess the short version would be I was installing a bumper. 🤪

I use the deutsch connectors for the aftermarket lights in my front and rear bumpers weather tight, and easy to disconnect if needed. Most brand name lights come with that style connector on them already

Them damn rabbit holes get ya all the time!! :ROFLMAO:

Ordered Timken front wheel bearing assemblies for the front and Trakmotive Extended Travel CV Axles. Should be in later this week.

Been getting some vibration that I'm trying to track down. Also, had some electrical gremlins that others have traced to the ABS system.

Didn't have time to diagnose 100% but I'm getting some light grinding when rotating the front passenger wheel by hand. Doesn't feel awful but decided it's not a bad idea to replace since I'm already at 70k miles. Driver side felt pretty good with maybe some slight catching.

Undecided on the CV axles. May send em back if my OEM ones are still holding up well after reading some of the reviews online.

@HSKR R/T - how are your trakmotives doing?

Doing great. No issues with them. Even did an off road event Saturday with front sway bar disconnected for more articulation.

Seems like lights were the object I first noticed them on. I have a bunch of the other type that's most commonly used and they feel junky with a lot of play in them.
Deutsch connectors seem like a much better method accept for buying another new tool. I guess it's a good reason to buy one 🤪

damn you have that OCD hahahaha
if you gonna take it off pavement just save your time and trouble because dirt will get trapped again. better just buy a chassis sprayer attachment for your pressure washer and just hose it down from under lol

Deutch connector or weatherpacks both work fine for aftermarket use.
