What did you do to your Ram today???

Started shopping around for a Unility bed for the Ram today. Found arust bubble on the passenger bedside and body shop wants 3k to replace the bedside.

damn you have that OCD hahahaha
if you gonna take it off pavement just save your time and trouble because dirt will get trapped again. better just buy a chassis sprayer attachment for your pressure washer and just hose it down from under lol

Deutch connector or weatherpacks both work fine for aftermarket use.
My brother has the attachment already 🤪 but I have to keep her clean if possible. Its probably a good idea to clean fender flares every 4 to 5 years.
Yes, weatherpack terminal connectors are what I've been using for years now. The Deutsch connectors appear to as they might be better.

they are better for higher amperage connections and much better weather resistance (i've broken a few weatherpack myself due to the connector's age lol)

my hats off to you sir for dealing with those clips just to clean it hahaha
especially when I know i spend the time to do all that only to have it get dirty again the next weekend im out :ROFLMAO:

Factory reset Uconnect.

I mistakenly turned on the auto update feature and even though the website told me multiple times my VIN had the up to date Uconnect, it's updated 3 times since then, and I've checked every time after it's updated too. Today was the dreaded one with the climate control issues and it happened on my first stop to get fuel during a 200 mile trip. So that was fun spending almost 45 minutes waiting for it after it started freaking out on me and shutting my speedometer on and off multiple times because I was like "well screw this I'm rolling it can figure it out". Big mistake. So that's what sparked the factory reset.

I'll never let it update again.

I miss the days where none of this crap was an issue. Just rip out the factory head unit and replace it with Kenwood or Sony or Alpine or something and boom, done.

that is wild experience!
i just did mine when I got home friday night and it was done in like 10 minutes? and then I shut off the truck, locked it, went to bed. The next morning (6 hours later) it was good as new.

They way I figure it if all four mud flaps have that much dirt in them I'll be getting better gas mileage. 🤪
Plus I know it couldn't be any dirtier than it was in 4 or 5 years of use.
If it made it 5 years like that and went 5 more years for a total of 10 years it would be rusty.
I've got health issues and don't watch TV so I've got the time and doesn't cost me much to do.
I'm very slow now but it beats not moving at all. :D

Sure doesn't sound like something I want to be involved in yet...

oh i've cleaned out over 30lb of Alaskan and Arctic mud off my truck since my return from the big trip last September.
Truck felt bit lighter, but gas mileage still the same LOL

I can see where you coming from with the rust prevention part hahaha

I got it on today. I like it much better in person and I think being so close to it makes the picture weird.
It is way stronger than the factory, but I need to weld it up and reinforce it. I like it

yea it's just a weird naked angle. Not everyone can take those kind of pics :ROFLMAO:

Get it all put together and out in the elements then snap some completed photos and I'm sure it'll look more "average".

The red duct tape holding the cardboard in place to keep from scratching isn't helping either.
I buffed and glazed the tail bed and the painters tape wouldn't stick so I went with the duct tape

Maybe this is a known issue, but I'm glad I checked. I was going to replace it anyway for my winter trip so I'd have matching tires all the way around.
I'm shocked that so much rubber was removed and I would also like to know how to prevent it from happening again
I could see this ruining someone's day or entire trip

what barbed attachment?

and blackstone can take up to a month to run the sample but based on what i know it's still the most trusted out there.
