Does anyone have updated info pertaining to the Check Engine Light indicating Misfire?
I’ve had it in to dealership several times only to be cleared and told they are working on a fix. Thank God I only live 2 miles from the dealership. Been in no less than a dozen times. Very frustrated.
Any info would help.
Thanks

I was getting the CEL one to two time per week since picking my truck up in March. On a whim, after reading a post on here, I decided to try running 93 octane. The light shut off within 24 hours and has not come back on. It's been three weeks. The truck runs better and I'm getting better mileage.
Stellantis still needs to provide a solution but this seems to have cured it, for now.

P0300 2025 1500 RAM ETORQ . I WAS TOLD IT WAS A COMPUTER ISSUE AT 700 MILES. VERY ANNOYED

Same issue P0300 at less than 500 miles.Dealer said it was flashed before I purchased 2025 1500 3.6 etorque. That was 5/6/25 when I took it to dealer. Was told when Ram finds a new solution dealer will call me. Ram care was no help. CEL comes on for about 3 days then off for 3-8 days and repeat. Trying 93 octane tank this week. Not happy with all the phone tag so far with dealer and Ram.

I have ran lower than 93 octane on my truck with no issue but it was never a full tank of it. I know, paying more for the gas sucks but once in a while I want to pay less. Never had the misfire or CEL either. I say all this to say, mix the tank if you want once in a while but try to stay with 93 for the most part.

So 93 fuel did not prevent CEL from returning for my truck. Not sure where this is headed but I do not have a good feeling about it being resolved.

I spoke with the service manager yesterday and he assured me that Ram must fix this and that it is a false misfire being triggered on cold start up. He is still waiting for the software update after several months. Meanwhile Ram Care has offered me some oil changes and tire rotations for my troubles. Hopefully this will be resolved soon for all of us.

I bought my truck in Oct. 2024. Had CEL within 3 days of owning it. Has been persistent ever since. Going in the Dealership Tuesday for 4th time. After this, I intend to pursue a lemon law claim. Additionally, my truck gets HORRENDOUS gas mileage. 13-15 mpg.

My feeling is there’s a bad batch of something that’s causing this. That’s why only some trucks are affected. I’m not fond of a software fix because it’s masking a problem. Also who knows what the long term effects are

CEL was off for over 3 weeks , turned back on today. I think I am going to call the dealer and make an appointment again. I have been patient and nothing is being done. May have to call a lemon law attorney as well.

8/20/25 truck went to dealer service dept. I only made the appointment so that I would have an ongoing record of the problem in case I needed to pursue arbitration or lemon law. When I got there, I was told a fix came out a month ago approximately. I wasn’t happy that I was never called like I was told I would be when a fix from Stelantis Ram was available. So my PCM software was updated from an AJ to an AK part number.
So far the check engine light has not come back on, but it has only been a few days and in the past, it has been off as long as 3 1/2 weeks so only time will tell. I was told that this will fix the problem I will keep my fingers crossed, but I won’t hold my breath. Hope this helps someone else.
