New way to steal your truck

I see you've never been to San Antonio. Apparently, taking a Super Duty there means it's guaranteed to be stolen and taken to Mexico.

Also, just for you...

Well it would be in North Mexico already. I doubt a Ford Pinto would be safe there!

Glad to see you are still lurking around.

We'll be heading there next month. Giving serious consideration to parking it in my buddy's shop and renting something while we're there.

Yep, still hanging around here and updating my towing/traveling thread. I'm still holding out hope that Ram will update the HD trucks. The dudes on the HD forum didn't appreciate that I picked the F-350 over a new Ram 3500.

You've mentioned them before, and I have found a video on how to bypass the IGLA. Takes special tool to hack around it, but it's possible. And the right thief with the knowledge can get it done. Ravelco, it's just a matter of figuring out which pins to jumper
That’s not true. Could you show the video instead of saying that you ā€œfound a videoā€, please?

That video is a known fake and has been out for years. That IGLA also is one that isn’t used and hasn’t been. You are not hacking something that gives off zero electronic signature until you enter a pin. If you have the pin then why the need to hack it. Ravelco on the other hand takes about 5-15ish seconds to bypass. If you would like a demonstration then we can arrange it.

You are lying, that’s not true. Show the video instead of saying that you ā€œfound a videoā€

WOW! Calling another member a liar because they saw something that you don’t believe? Even if the video is bogus doesn’t mean he didn’t see it and believe it to be true. Good first post and introduction to the Forum. Welcome………….I guess.

Y’all do know that every single anti-theft device ever created, and that will ever be created in the future, has been or eventually will be reverse engineered by thieves. I’m not saying IGLA has yet, but it will. Itā€˜s only a matter of time. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not anti IGLA, and I think that anything we can do to slow down thefts of our vehicles is a good idea. Hell, I have a Ravelco and they claim not one vehicle stolen in 47 years. Now, it can be easily bypassed. Iā€˜m not foolish enough to believe that any anti-theft device will forever be impossible to reverse engineer/defeat and 100% eliminate the possibility of my truck getting stolen. In the end, tow truck equals vehicle gone, no matter what you do to it.

You don’t need to welcome me, I saw that post and couldn’t let that lie living out there. Saying: ā€œI found/watched a video about somethingā€ doesn’t proof it’s a true. That could bring confusion on those that are looking for a secure system and read there is a video of someone hacking IGLA. As @Air’d outSRT said, that is fake.

Btw, I edited my reply to @HSKR R/T, sorry buddy, it was not my intention calling you liar, just the heat of the moment. šŸ˜…šŸ˜‚ But nah, you are good with IGLA, and yes, I have it installed along with Compustar T13 / Drone X1. I can tell that was the best and cheapest thing installed in my truck and I couldn’t be more happy.

Based on his user names seems like someone that was told about this thread in the TRX forums, and he couldn't help but create an account here just to comment. It's okay, IGLA is obviously king, and absolutely impossible to be hacked, even though any installer can access it, which means anyone that knows how it works can as well.

As you said, there isn't an anti-theft device that has ever been created that is impossible to get around.
