Hello everyone,

After receiving some feedback, it was brought to our attention that Uconnect 4/4C users would like to have their soft reset/reboot instructions easily accessible. For all of your convenience, you may find the instructions below.

Soft Reset
1. Put your vehicle into the accessories mode (ACC or RUN)
For keyless start (push-button) vehicles: push the start button twice without having your foot on the gas or brake pedal
2. Hold down the Phone and voice recognition buttons (or tuner and volume knob), at the same time, for thirty seconds.
3. Let go of the buttons
4. Turn the vehicle off
5. Open driver’s side door for thirty seconds (or until dash illumination goes black)
6. Close door
7. Restart vehicle
8. Let the media center load up and see if the concern is still present

If you're currently experiencing concerns and a soft reset of your system does not mitigate these concerns, please do not hesitate to send our team a private message with your VIN and a photo of your Uconnect system information so we can look into it for you.

Thanks,

Ram Cares
Hello,
I’ve got a 2019 1500 Laramie with the 8.4 Uconnect. Had the first head unit replaced because of the rear camera just displaying black and would continue to lock up the whole system. Now I have a bubble in the screen, brought it to the dealer and they said unfortunately they see this more than you’d think, so they opened up a case for me. Still waiting for a response from Ram Customer Support. There has been another issue since day one and in both head units, and that is when you select a different “theme” setting and the info screen between the gauges matches the Uconnect it only stays in the theme chosen until you shut off and restart the vehicle. Is there to your knowledge any fix for this? Having that theme feature is a nice touch and I would like to enjoy it the way it was intended.
Thank you!

The theme setting is only permanent on Navigation models.

I have navigation.
Curious why you’d assume that I don’t moreover why would FSA even put a theme option if the intended outcome was to revert back? Doesn’t make sense.

Why would I assume you don't? Because the theme isnt staying to what you changed.

Been trying the soft reset for the last few weeks with no success. Just discovered the vent fan/HVAC system must be off for this to work

I have an issue with my 2018 Durango's radio. It's like there's a ghost constantly touching the screen. I tried doing the soft reset by hitting the phone/voice buttons and also the volume/tuner buttons, but nothing happened. I also made sure that the AC was off just in case. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Woke up to this. Tried to limp to dealer. Ended up sitting on the side of the road when it would not shift out of a low gear. While I waited for the tow, 30mins later I started the truck and it was fine. Still went straight to dealer. Threw voltage codes. No time for testing, so new battery. Is fine now, but Uconnect missing cameras and passenger "control" section etc.

-2019 1500 Laramie Pkg. - 12" Uconnect

Edited for clarity.

Sometimes it takes a few hours for everything to come back after the battery is disconnected or replaced. Keep us updated please.

That did it! I also am going to assume the battery was the issue as I recall the running boards struggled to deploy this morning. Thank you for the help. I'm grateful.
