My fully loaded Limited cost me 66k back in 2022...
No way in hell I would get a Bighorn for 70k that's crazy.
What was your sticker? You pais 66, but I bet it was way under sticker, because my 20 Laramie, was over 55, and it ony had level 1, not level 2. My 24 stickered for over 83, but I paid 68,5. You bought during the pandemic, so it had gone up some, but inflation since 2020 is over 30%. Gas was under a dollar in 2020, and I paid .28 a dozen for eggs. Nothing is affordable anymore.

🐂 :poop: In what universe?
In what universe what? I don't have any proof of the $.28 eggs, but that was the price at Aldi, for over 2 years, before 2020. I have a picture of the pump, my daughter sent me, because she paid $.88 a gallon, at Sam's Club, when every place else was like $.99.

When I ordered it in December of 21 msrp was 77.3k. It then went up over the weekend after signing it and was 78.3k. Upon delivery in March of 22 msrp was set to 79.5k. I paid 66k after locked in rebates ($1500)

70k for a Bighorn is insane when a truck 4 trim levels above is a 10k difference.

So there you go, all the prices they are talking, are MSRP. You make it sound like 66 was your sticker price. That's apples and oranges. No, not everybody will be able to afford a fully loaded electric, or hybrid truck, but not everyone can afford a loaded gas truck. You were lucky you locked in your price when you did, before the pandemic, and Bidenomics raised everything 30%.

Must have been nice. Gas prices here in 2020 were in the upper $2 range. Local prices here right now are $4.45 for regular. But then again I live in the state with the third highest gas prices. At least I can drive just 8 miles to Idaho to fill up for almost a dollar per gallon less.

We were around $1.50/gal at that time

Before the pandemic? I got my truck in early 2022.
If a Bighorn is 70k and a Limited is 80k that makes 0 sense with all the different trims inbetween

The Big horn is the most configurable trim, You can get a base Bighorn for pretty cheap but add a bunch of options and they will be more then a Larmie so if you want a loaded big horn usually best to get a Laramie unless you just don't like leather which was my case.

I’m holding my breath on this one. In the past 2 years ram has reduced the options on the lower trims (like the rambox and MFT) so you have to pay more for the higher trims.

For me, if I can’t get a ram ev bighorn with rambox (it’s pretty much the only feature I want), it’s pretty much the end of me getting another ram. I can easily get a ford lightning xlt because I don’t want extra features. I got extremely lucky to get my back country with ramboxes before they removed that option. At this point, I don’t think I can’t live without extra storage like that because I always use them.

Ram has to do this rev better and cheaper, or it won’t sell. They are already behind the 8 ball compared to their competitors.

I'm with you. My entire family basically says ramboxes are a requirement for every truck going forward lol.

I do agree, you can't even get LED lights on the Big Horn for 2024. If I was to buy a truck right now it would not be a Ram solely based on that alone.

Fortunately, LED headlamps will be standard on all trims starting with the 2025 MY, which apparently starts production in Q1 2025.

It's about time. IMO there should be no "low end" headlights, they should ALL be the best that Ram can deliver, period, just like all safety equipment. They don't downgrade the airbags or have weaker frames on lower trims, they shouldn't put anything but the best headlights the can on every trim level.
.
It's not just Ram, they all do the cheap headlight thing on lower trims. And they should all be ashamed.

I mostly agree, but from a slightly different angle. IMO all the problems with headlights were solved a half century ago with the invention of the incandescent sealed beam, and the halogen versions seem to be the ultimate and final version of that. But then makers decided to let their designers use stylized plastic lens and socket arrangements that get yellow and cloudy after a few years, and I think those pretty much suck.

So LED's have great potential, being more efficient producers of light, though reliability may be questionable due to the built in voltage conversion circuitry. What I'd like to see is for all vehicles to come with sealed beam halogens and let dealer or owner swap plug-n-play LED replacements as desired.

Just like anything else take proper care of your vehicle and there isn't an issue with lens clouding or turning yellow. The "stylized" plastic lens and socket design was easier and cheaper for the end user to replace when a bulb goes out, and easier to aim vs a sealed beam lens.

Modern LED headlight assemblies are basically "sealed beam" headlights again since they make them so you can't replace just he LED and have to replace the entire headlight. And put out a ton more light.
