First oil change.

Glad I have a variety of odd oil filter removal tools as that it a darn tight spot to have a filter turned down by a gorilla to deal with!(n)

Installed a Fumoto so next time will be easier! (y)

Only two small metal flakes about 1/32" in the drained oil and very little powdered shavings - poured it over a magnet. Cut open the filter and had three flakes with the largest about 1/16" and the pleats definitely caught a little powder. Overall, way less than the break-in change of my 2014.

What model # was the Fumoto you put in ? I changed my oil today, and agree with you about that tight spot for the filter !

New Year and starting clean

On the same page here, brother... (y)

For me, it was the first time washing the RAM since bringing it home about a month ago. I'm normally pretty OCD keeping rigs clean, but between rain/snow and work, today was the first day that made sense... Just needed to wait until the thermometer climbed above 32F to get started. In any case, once I was done and regained the feeling in my claws hands, I snapped a couple pics:

Happy New Year everyone!

Are those weather tech mud flaps? Also what brand visors? Do you like them both? I like the fit on your mudflaps.

They are the Weathertech mudflaps. Excellent fit. The visors are Mopar brand. I don’t Have any experience with other visors to compare but they look nice and have the Ram logo on them which I liked. I’d recommend.

Yeah... gonna let the dealer fight that first change, and get some TSBs cleared up.
I've been considering the Fumoto... got a pic of it installed?

I went with the adjustable 90 elbow because I attached a hose and left it in place clipped to the sway bar.

You need this version or the long straight nipple. The short nipple will be a PITA to slip a hose on reliably with the sway bar.

No, I didn't. I'll have the truck back up on the ramps later this week and will grab a couple. Worked out great with the model I chose to keep a hose on it and tied up so it would not catch anything.

You might ask why leave the hose - I'm religious about changing on time, and that may mean I'm 4 states away with my trailer in tow. Whatever to make it easier! If it hadn't worked out so well, I was going to put a QC on it.
