My 2022 Backcountry (picked up fall 2021) now has 31,000 miles so I'm starting to think of ordering a new truck. Building a similar Backcountry now is $64,430 MSRP. With MD's 11.5% off and then 5k in incentives (my zip went from 4-5k yesterday) and the 1k private offer...brings the truck price to 51,021. So...20.8% off a 2023.

I'd order right now as MD seems awesome. Unfortunately I am almost 20 hours from them. Granger is 4% off invoice and only about 7 hours away. So, not as good, but a lot closer and wouldn't require hotel nights.

Anyway, looks like a person can get 20% off certain 2023 trims.
Ship it. Ur not that much further then me. I had mine shipped to northern Illinois 2 yrs ago from them.

I am in MN and have a 23 Laramie on order and went through the same debates you are having - Mark Dodge was lowest by a good margin but the savings were offset for the most part by travel/shipping cost/time etc. Granger was better than local dealers but they would not do leases for non-Iowa residents (one person said no leases at all another only out of state) and will not handle registration like MD does for out of state customers so you'd have to do TTL back home and not finance those costs. In the end I worked a couple local dealers in the twin cities until one got close to the Granger price and placed the order with them. I also saw today that they are offering 10% off MSRP as a Ram incentive now so things are looking even better.

Thought about that but at 1280 miles, that would eat up alot of the savings. Plus I wouldn't get the tax savings of trading in my current truck.

Who is advertising that? I know some Twin Cities dealers have decent prices at time (better than WI anyway).

On the RamTrucks.com website, they are already announcing 10% off MSRP on 2023 Laramie 1500's.

Sorry - looking at it again the 10% below MSRP is only on Laramies. I ended up ordering from Bloomington CDJR after negotiating with Fury CDJR (bought my last 3 trucks from them) and Bloomington (bought a pacifica from them last year) and Bloomington had the better price by a decent amount. For hat it is worth all my experiences with Bloomington sales and service have been great.

Right now MD is giving 23% off MSRP on laramies. I doubt anyone else can touch the price.

MD is offering 13% of MSRP plus the RAM 10% off incentive for a total of 23% off MSRP. My local dealer is selling me a Laramie at 13% off MSRP and if I had ordered now or if my truck is delivered in May they would honor the additional 10% off incentive and be close to the MD price. The only thing about that 10% off is it eliminates many of the other potential incentives so may not actually result in the lowest possible price in every situation.

Question for you guys. I have a friend that's looking to buy a used 2022 Ram 1500. I told him not to buy a used one right now because he could possibly get a new 2022 leftover for the same money or less. The truck he is interested in has 30k miles on it and is $55k. Just last week they were offering 20% or more off of 2022 leftovers. Now that it's May and not April anymore, the incentives or rebates seem to have been taken away and I can't find any good deals on the remaining 2022's to send to him. My question is, why would Ram take away incentives on the remaining 2022's and make them harder for dealers to get rid of? I would think if they were advertising 20% off or more last week on 22's, they would continue until all 2022's were off the market. I was trying to help out a friend and convince him to buy new by getting a good deal, but so far no luck.

One of the guys from MD I think mentioned they eventually move on to the 23 and just stick dealers with the remaining 22's to deal with. Seems they may announce the 24 next week and they are starting to really incentivize the 23's now. Depending on trim etc. He might get a 23 for close to that price though after incentives and discounts.

They only give them that break for a limited time to help them clear out tho old stock they over ordered. Some dealers order in weird combinations that never sell. One of the local dealers still had a couple new 21s last time I checked, a couple months ago.

The 10% from RAM on this ALSO is only on retail purchases, not leases, and it's only on crewcab 1500 laramies - they got real specific this time.
It DOES work with affiliate pricing, if you have that. The alternative to the 10% off is a 2.9/72 APR which is ALSO standalone.
OR you could go the piece-by-piece and take the ones specific to your region ..... clear as mud.

RAM alerts the dealers ahead of time that it's going to be their last chance to have incentives on the prior model year, and then mostly fulfills that promise (or threat). That's hopeful to PUSH the dealers to PUSH those 22's when RAM wants them gone, not to keep waiting for a better deal.... BUT there are also some tools that the dealers can use to make something happen on those '22s as well. But now it's on THEIR desk, not RAMs, to make it happen, becuase they're still paying floorplan interest on them. Pressure is on but you won't find it advertised quite as clearly, would hvae to be more hand-to-hand combat of finding one, trying to figure how long it may have been on the lot, and getting the right person on the right day.

Hell yeah I'd take a brand new '21 if it was in my very strange configuration that I want lol

I can't remember the name right now, ( bad memory, and There are 5 or 6 Ram dealers within 10 miles of me) but when I do, I will see if they still have one.

I did check, and they don't any longer. They must have sold them when they had nothing else. As a matter of fact, they only have 2 22s, and less than 50 23s. One of the other locals has over 150 23s in stock. None of them order what I want.

RAM encourages ordering of "Fast Moving Vehicles" or FMV which is what the gurus and algorithms expect to move most quickly, thereby MUST mean that's what ALL customers want. Well, not necessarily the case of course! This is why it's all crewcab 5'7"s and very few longbeds, for example.

for 55K, you can actually get a very well equipped Laramie. MD has Southwest (standard power running boards and pano sunroof) Laramies with level 1 packaging for 52K. Their deals are pretty nuts.
