Can the active noise cancelling be turned off? Or is there a way to tell if it’s working. We’ve had ours for about a month and a half now and it’s pretty quiet on the inside but nothing like that first ride home. I was amazed that nothing could be heard and I just don’t get that feeling in it anymore.

It’s a subtle change, mostly lower freqs cancelled, so I’ll wager your system is still running fine. There are no user controls for it; it’s a fully automagic system embedded inside the sound system amp, with four cabin microphones connected to it.

Mine happened to be malfunctioning (loud droning noises esp. at 1500-2000 rpm), so I deactivated it by unplugging the sound system at the amp under the seat until service can address the problem. The truck is still pretty darn quiet even without ANC running.

Appreciate it. It’s not making any weird noises, just seems like it isn’t as quiet as the first few days we had it. Maybe I’m just used to it now.

I feel like my ANC (if any may not be working) I ride in a 2019 Ram or 2013 F150 and I feel the f150 is quieter, in town and on the highway. Where is the amp to unplug and test?

Can someone take a picture of the amp where the mic is plugged into?

I have a thread with a whole how to write up with pics for this.

It is a million times better. Everything else works as it should. My audio even improved ever so slightly.

I don't have a problem I am just curious how ANC does. I didn't really feel like removing the connector introduced more sound into the cabin because ANC was off. Eh, I'm not concerned, was just curious.

Yep, there are actually two older ones (software flash and amp replacement), according to my customer service rep the latest is another software flash. Will hopefully get it done next Wednesday. A couple folks maintain a list of recalls and TSBs over here, watch for #08-033-19 to pop up if you’re interested.

Is it that simple? Or does that fuse remove more then the anc?
Per the owner's manual:
F12 – 25 Amp Clear - Mod Audio Amplifier / Active Noise
Cancellation / SW Inverter

So you'd also lose audio if your truck has an Audio Amplifier. Also, I assume the Inverter is the 110v in the console.

Has anyone actually done the inverse of this? Meaning can you keep the ANC, but disconnect the 'music' to the subwoofer? If we can undo the ANC I would assume we can undo the audio portion and keep the ANC. I've looked at the other posts regarding the pin removal from the harness and also the harness you can buy to disable by doing away with those wires. I suspect its just the inverse of that with unpinning the audio wires and keeping the anc wires in the harness. I don't have the drone/extra issues that others are describing, the truck has ample amounts of bass drive through the 4 - 6x9 speakers. I did the swap with all infinity reference and disconnected the woofer to get rid of the boominess and its worlds better for my tastes, but wanting to keep the ANC if possible, mainly for highway driving.

I think I may have answered my own question after thinking about this further. If your killing the ANC microphones before they get tot the amp (by pin removal or harness) and there is only 2 wires going to the sub there really wouldn’t be a way to only send the ANC signal to the sub.

Thinking about this further and reading about the woofer. It sounds like this woofer has 3 voice coils. Is one of the coils specifically for the ANC? I haven’t opened up the woofer. If so is there a way to only have that coil operate?
