So it looks like the average time between "Scheduled" and "In Production" is just over a month. Is that a valid assessment? Just trying to set some expectations with myself on how often I should refresh this pizza tracker

You might fair better. We went D1 before the two-week shutdown over Christmas. I was told by the Ram people back then that the average time is 15-21 days (or something like that). That could be why it is taking us longer to see progress.

I would love if that was true but I know I need to keep my hopes in check

At least 50 times a day. The more you refresh, the faster it moves through the process 😉
That explains why mine took 5 days to get to scheduled, I'm already refreshing it ~50 times a day 😂

I figured it'd at least be a week to 2+ before it'd actually ship 😲

Decided to wait till after production started to place my order because back in October 2019 I placed an order for a 2020 Jeep Rubicon with the eco diesel engine they were just introducing. I waited over 5 months and saw dealers getting inventory before mine was even being built. That was an excruciating experience I didn’t want to experience again.

I was notified today that my Limited is now being built so not too long a wait from when I placed my order last December 1.

I feel for those who have placed an earlier order and are still waiting as it’s not an easy wait. Back when my 2020 Jeep order was in all of us on the JL forum could never figure out rhyme or reason for when an order would make it into production so nothing has changed with this Ram order for sure!

Hang in there it will happen! B6ED85BE-930C-4A1F-9C94-BDE888EB8E7A.jpeg

StickVa - you are correct and u also ordered a couple weeks after us. Although I was happy for you, seeing that your vehicle got built and ours still had no ETA was the final nail in the coffin for us with that original order that led us to cancel it. Even though the V6 is the 'standard' engine for the Longhorn I challenge you to try to find one anywhere - they're all V8 or diesel. When we ordered originally we just assumed the V6 was readily available since it was the default choice and since we aren't towing we chose to go with the V6. But in the 5 months since we ordered, and with getting tired of waiting, we've shopped all over creation for another Longhorn with the features we want (primarily Level 1 package, Sunroof, and Ivory) - it was hard enough to find a Longhorn with these things that's available for sale and impossible with a V6. So we got to thinking maybe we shoulda gone with a V8?

As it turned out, we realized that while the vehicles we currently drive are V6, we never actually drove a Longhorn V6 (our test drives were V8 because that's all that was available) so when we decided to give up on the original order we also decided to make sure to test drive a V6 vs V8 - which we did at the new dealer. Driving the V6 was fine and I'm sure we could have lived with it and not known any better, but if you test drive them back to back there is a clear difference - not just in power (which is obvious) but in how the engine 'feels' for the truck. The Longhorn is a big truck and the V6 feels slightly underpowered when you initially accelerate - you can feel it take a bit of effort to get going - again probably not surprising. But the V8 is like 'always ready to go' - we pictured being on the highway and needing to pass a semi or something to avoid heavy traffic and that extra power could be critical. That's what sold us on the V8 despite the worse gas mileage. That and the fact that my wife and I joke that the gas guzzling V8 is better suited to our MAGA mindset - which is also why we got the bigger gas tank - because who doesn't want $120 fill ups every time you go the pump and say #FJB?
Helpfuldad - the change was well thought out and I guarantee you will not be disappointed with the Hemi. One thing I’ve never said or actually heard is I have too much power! Like you said when you go to pass and need a little extra it is invaluable. Well worth the few pennys in fuel, at least in my opinion. Glad you are getting what you want as it is a huge investment. Now let’s hope it gets built real soon.

My local dealer just contacted me and asked if I was interested in a TRX Havoc Edition that they just got in. I was tempted but I know they are going to want at least $10k over invoice. Gangster. Definitely a badass looking truck.

Wait until they come out with the (purported) red special edition later this year. Then buy one of each and you’ll have a ketchup & mustard thing going.

Really liking this truck! The exhaust sounds nice when you get on it. Love the digital display for the maps and changing the layout to however you want to see it.

Surprised to find when I got home that there was no spray in bed liner. I thought that was standard on the limited and had to actually be selected to be deleted. Strange.

But I love the truck so far!

Spray in is optional And i just realized i dont think I’ll have it either. So now I’m not sure. Was part of night edition in 22 i thought.

Not part of night edition but part of Level 1

thought it came with the Level1
Ok i think you’re right and i should have it. It’s just not listed under the level 1 equipment group. Which is M1 and referenced under bedliner

Bedliner — Spray-in (included with Tradesman Group, Bed Utility Group, Backcountry Package, and R1 and M1 Equipment Packages) (XMF/AA1)
