Judging the light pattern shown in the video, it doesn't look like they will blind oncoming drivers. The main beam is still focused low. What little scatter there is above the main beam won't be enough to annoy drivers. Especially if using amber lens. And if these are designed to go in place of the factory fog lights I would hope there would be some sort of adjustment that can be made for aiming them

I appreciate the info in helping me to justify saving money & still getting what I want. 😆

I’m going amber for sure - I like that in my Jeep I can power the headlights off & rely on all the amber to cut through the fog. Even the amber backlight/ambient light option with the Rough Country works decent enough, & I added amber colored covers to them for the white light to shine through which also made a huge difference & protects the lens.

I’ll share some photos but the main one that I’d like to share with the headlights off while the RC bar & pods are going, I haven’t taken yet. After I get the starting issue figured out, I’ll take one to share. I believe it’s the ignition coil this time or they sold me a bad remanufactured starter. Fuses & relays all looks good & test fine.

Got my rear tow hook situation figured out, a little drilling and they went on.

Then was rearranging stuff in the bed and back seat and discovered this lever, anyone know what it does? And turns out one of my seat belt bolts was very loose... come on Ram...

Are those hooks gold? They look great with your truck. Nice break from always seeing red ones…

I’m looking forward to both pics of what the lens looks like in the day with the lights off & those night shots. Right now I just have Amber/orange Lamin-x film over the stock lens.

My original plan was to match the 3 bottom lights by getting the Shifts & Grins brackets & Diode Dynamics center LED light bar in amber because my plan is to battle the fog and living in a rural area also, but these fog lights are about the same price and looks like they might be less work. What do you think? I’m also thinking it’d be a little pricey & overkill to have DD fog lights AND DD center light bar. I haven’t priced the fog bezels vs the open center grill yet either.

I was originally looking at the Baja Designs the other day & I do like that they’re a little less money & come with the bezels but obviously there’s a little bit of a power difference. I wish there was a way to see the differences better.

Yep, I still owe photos. Unfortunately, my truck is back at the dealer for a problem with the adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning that they still have been able to fix. I’ll have to post about that soon, as I hope somebody will have ideas because the dealer so far hasn’t been able to figure it out.

Anyway, when I get the truck back, I’ll take some additional photos and post them.

What was the price for the Baja kit? I thought Diode Dynamics was less expensive. I paid $380 for everything (including the replacement OEM trim pieces) from RetroShop, but it looks like now the price has gone up to $440. That’s for the Pro level; Sport is $120 less and max is $200 more.

Sounds like you got a good deal on the Pro’s! Here’s my breakdown so far on current pricing:

DD Amber Fog Lights w/backlight:
$320/$420/$620 (sport, pro, max)
Bezels: $40 (RetroShop)
Baja Amber:
$455/$405/$685 (sae, sport, pro)

DD 30” Light Bar + brackets:
$532
Mopar open grill shell w/sensors:
$50-$75

I just want the colors to match when off & on, really. I think the Baja is more yellow than orange. I’m ok with forking out for the DD Max but don’t think they’re for on road use - but I like the true amber orange lens. I might just go the Pro route & add the amber orange lens film from Lamin-x like I have now & then still add the DD amber 30” light bar in the center grill.

Sorry to hear about your issues - hopefully they’re fixed soon. I’d like to hear about that as well since I’ve been thinking about getting the Comma Ai if I keep driving as much as I do for work.

I can send a pic of the buttons, they are really nice IMO and the key is held in place by a raised plastic outline of the key shape. No noise at all or Id throw it away.

Sent from my SM-G781U1 using Tapatalk

The buttons are injection molded

Wellp I’m back on the AJT bandwagon. Just orderered.

It’s interesting, I remember back when i ordered the one for my tundra he had like 3 fobs available. Now he has like 21 with all the button combos. So it’s the majority of his stuff. And I find it cosmically funny that his last name is “Truckey” and he makes a ton of “truck keys.” 🤣😂 it’s great when you can tell someone was meant for the stuff they do. Sort of like the days when people named Smith made swords and armor for a living. 🤣

Scrubbed hard water marks from the side windows and pano moonroof with 0000 steel wool and Barkeepers Friend. It pretty much sucked and I still have the front and rear window to do.
