TAZER DT for 2019 RAM 1500

I hope they release a version 19 or so soon that fixes all the Uconnect5 issues.

On my '22, 18.1.6 works great and 18.1.7 or later doesn't work at all. However, NONE of them allow the Kill3Honk feature to continuously work. It'll work first time I step out to check the mail, after that it stops working again.

Uconnect 5 has been out for quite a while now. I'm starting to think that it's going to never been consistently compatible with all the Tazer DT has to offer.

I hope it will as I also just bought it. hope they will release a version 19 or so that solves all issues

That’s exactly what mine did with the update right before that one. Just suddenly lost it but showed it was still on in the menu.

18.1.6 has been working perfect so sticking with that one.

I spoke too soon.

Last few days my Auto Stop/Start mysteriously turned back on again. Apparently the Tazer is randomly forgetting the off setting. I hit the button to turn the light on meaning disabled and then all is fine again for awhile. Strange how it does this at random.

It is in testing right now. It was supposed to be released before year-end, but that didn't happen.

Mine is mostly working fine, but I've had a few weird things happen while running it. TurnCam has come on a couple times while driving even though it's disabled, and I had to reboot the screen to make it go away. My cruise control has spontaneously cancelled, and interior ambient lights turned off/back on. Not comforting knowing that the Tazer can control a lot of vehicle functions and it's glitching out randomly. Hopefully they get this crap sorted out.

Tazer works fine for these in my truck. I’m not even using the latest update. I have no need for PIN activated start.

I tried 18.1.6 when first released but had some issues with it. Haven’t tried the latest release yet. 18.1.5 works perfectly well for me.

I also just received a Tazer DT and plugged it in to the pc and saw that it came out of the box with the lastest firmware, so at the moment that is 18.1.8 but when I read all this here, I am scared to use it with my 2022 Limited

One thing I noticed with my Tazer is if I ever manually turn Auto Stop/Start back on the Tazer will disable it again shortly after on it’s own. Even the Tazer hates that feature.

Anybody else have your mirror puddle lights coming on when stopped for a bit at a stop sign? Mine does at random and guessing it’s related to my Tazer. Lights go out as soon as I accelerate. Seems strange and can’t figure out why it’s happening.

No but I have my amber turn signals as drl and if I’m stopped and the start/stop turns on then the bottom white led below the amber led comes on until the truck starts going again. I asked tazer about it and they are trying to work on a fix to that.

As someone who has written my share of software, I can only imagine the spaghetti code that leads to such an event.

I have a tazer too and I'm scared to touch it. Took me hours to get it to where I'm at now and it finally works as intended accept somehow I lost the ability to turn in my mirrors. I never touched a thing in Tazer that had anything to do with mirrors.

This is just poor software.

Sounds like another update coming soon. I’m still leery of the last two.
