Reinstalled my active grill shutters in anticipation of the upcoming ice and salt parade. Only took an hour start to finish, but I somehow feel it went quicker when I removed them. I did see slightly lower temps when it was really hot out, but I don't know if it was enough to warrant removing them again next year. Guess we'll see how bored I am when Spring comes around

Why would you remove them in the first place?

I have the Ram Air, so I wondered if I would accomplish any better air flow with them out of the way. Plus, I didn't see much value in having them when the temps are high. Like I mentioned, truck didn't benefit immensely tempwise, a couple of degrees in Summer. I'm sure there was some "performance" (and I use that term loosely) increase from the less restricted airflow, since I don't drive like an old man, but all in all the results from the experiment were nothing to write home about. I think the AGS are really there to help mpg on paper, but I feel it can't hurt to have them on in the Winter.

Rescued a 3rd coonhound. She enjoyed her ride home.

Alright now that some of us that have received their 2023's, have any of you put on a tonneau cover on their 6'4" bed? I've been holding off on purchasing my tonneau cover in fear that it may not fit for some stupid reason. What have you added to you beds? I'd love to pre-purchase my cover before my truck comes in only due to the fact that I live in the north east and want to keep weather out of the brand new bed that will be...

I put this dash cover on from Covercraft. It seems well made, but I gotta sit with it for a while. I’m getting a late 70s Cadillac vibe…
I find dash covers to be a necessary evil as I live in Florida and the sun and heat are brutal here. What I have found in buying dash covers is that the Chinese brands tend to be better than the American ones and found this one on amazon for cheap. C7FE3940-7EBF-47FE-A0CF-BFF87AD9C8B8.jpeg

I know, but still, I seen the posts with users with Limited and Longhorn models with leather dashes bubbling up and that’s horrifying to see that. I have Llumar air tint on the Windshield but that only blocks 40-50% of the total solar energy.

False you don’t have to have a dash cover just because you live in Florida lol. Ceramic tint the front windshield 70% helps cut down on the heat from heating up the dash/interior or buy a covercraft windshield shade.

I have Llumar 80 on the windshield but it cuts about 43% of tser, which is good, but I don’t feel like it’s always enough, so I use the dash cover, primarily in the summer.

What's the point of having the fancy leather dash if you are going to cover it up with a cheap fabric cover?

l am glad I don’t, I just have a big horn, but I have seen dashes crack here, so I do what I can to prevent that.

Luckily, I park my truck in a garage. Doesn't se a lot of hot temps. Also have vent visorsz and the panoramic sunroof, so if it does sit outside in summer sun, the sunroof and windows are venting to keep heat build up inside down

I put a Diamondback on my 6'4" bed mainly for the security, lifetime warranty, and because it works seamlessly with the MFT. It's proven to be waterproof so far also and I'm a fan of the diamondplate look. There's'a lot of choices though.

Don't regular dash/leather treatments help?

I'd do change my dash/truck/address before I use a rug.....but to each his own.
