Could've just been some older stock he had, or the wrong size got sent by mistake, as even tightened down all the way they spun freely. I'm definitely not upset over it as I was able to make it work for now. It was after the stores were closed last night when I finished up, so I had to come up with a solution on the spot. Once I get everything adjusted a little better to get the tips even I may look into getting it all welded as well.
glad you're enjoying the res delete, i wish matt had his out before i bought the stupid flowmaster one. it's interesting that he has so many issues with his exhaust clamps, hope that gets this figured out for good soon. Matt was really good with replacing items for me as well so good luck getting the right stuff

You would certainly think he'd test them before shipping them out, especially after all of the issues folks have had with his clamps, but guess not :(

I had a flowmaster on my Titan with long tube headers and high-flow cats and it was pretty obnoxious. It's amazing how much smoother the Ram sounds with this system.

The clamps could've just been an oversight, I understand things happen when running a business. With the quality of the work he puts out, and my previous customer experience messaging him, I have no worries about it. I mainly sent the message just to let him know so that other's didn't possibly end up in a position like me with no clamps after cutting things off. I should've checked everything first, but I was too excited to put on new parts.

Measure twice, cut once! You’ll be fine, I never used a sawzaw before until I made the cuts on my exhaust and I was fine lol

Its not hard, when in doubt leave yourself a little extra, you can always trim more off. I used a ratcheting exhaust tube cutter i got on amazon for like $25, pretty easy and straight.

Here are before and after with the B2 Resonator Delete and the 5" Black tips. You should hear a lower rumble and throatier sound without the resonators and a slightly louder tone. I can get closer to the tips and get more sound clips if you like but it certainly a nice improvement over stock.

B2 Res Delete with 5" Black Tips
Thanks for posting. Just got my oval b2 muffler installed and a bit too quiet for me. This helps. Do you hear anything at 60 to 75 mph? I like it quiet while cruising unless I jump on it. Thanks!

Installed my resonator delete pipes last night to go along with the B2 muffler I installed when the truck had like 350 miles on it. Sounds even better now. Nice deep rumble at startup and when accelerating, but on the highway between 60 and 70, I can hardly hear it at all in the cab, and as a bonus the MDS sound is quieter and less annoying as well.

It was a very snug fit getting the connections to fit and I had to put some heat to them, but I'm confident they won't leak now. The clamps that came with it were too big to tighten down securely, which I have seen at least one other member report as well, but luckily I was able to come up with some shims temporarily to make them work until I can get the correct size. I sent Matt an email to let him know in case there were other kits waiting to ship with the same size clamps. All in all, I'm very pleased with the sound now.
Pretty quiet on highway at 60 to 75?

Really ? You have bad drone with resonator delete and oval muffler?
I had it at around 1500 rpm when I did it to my 2019. When I got my 2021, I did the oval B2 without the resonator delete and was much happier.

I hardly even notice it and that’s where most of my driving is. I can hear it if I listen, but it doesn’t drone and isn’t any louder than my tires.

Alrighty. Slowly but surely. I busted one of my bolts on the oem clamps adjusting my tips so I am waiting on a new bolt. For the time being I thought it might be interesting to have a baseline without the tips, then another vid with the tips, so we can see whether there is any sound/tone difference. Another thing to note though is I believe temp and weather will also have an impact on sound. Once I get the tips installed I will upload a new vid

Conclusion: LOVE IT!

The current specs on this video are:
- B2Fabrication Magnaflow 14” muffler
- B2Fabrication Resonator Delete
- No tips
- 40 degrees F
- 433’ elevation
- Raining
- Cold start

here is a vid that is cold start with some revs. Tomorrow the tips go on and I’ll get some better videos when I have an assistant.:D

Ok another update. Below is a vid with the 5” SS tips finally installed . Cold start with some revs.

Did you remove the single resonator before the muffler? And what is the 14 inch magnaflow is it a bullet style muffler?

How does this sound with a factory muffler? Any change in sound?

I just went through this whole thread looking for the answer to this same question and didn't find it.

Anybody have the stock muffler paired with B2 reso delete kit? Louder or not? Drone on highway or not?

I tried it on my 2019 and HATED it...it did drone around 1500 RPM. When I bought my 2021, I installed the B2 without the resonator delete and enjoyed it MUCH better. Just my two cents.

I just installed the Flowmaster resonator delete kit with the stock muffler in place. The B2 should be similar, I think.
It adds a little rumble at idle, a little bark while stepping it and cruising at hwy speed I can barely hear it.
American truck has a video of an install with sound examples.
