I programmed my memory seats when I first got the truck and it was working fine. Yesterday I could not recall my memory settings. I tried programming it again and the system says that it is set, but every time I try to recall it nothing happens. It doesn't even show the message that the button has been pushed.

I also have easy entry/exit enabled and that no longer works. Anyone else experienced this?

my seat memory moved the seat for me, yet the driver side mirror was always out of position set in memory. i have set both memory 1 & 2 to the same settings for now.

i have disabled then re-enabled (reset) the comfort seat feature three times in my 2900 mile ownership because the seat would not move forward. i also have toggled off the drivers setting saved to FOB.

Over the past two weeks, it seems like the truck has changed some behaviors as the mileage increases. the mirror is pointed where i left it and the seats move into position, and the motor has become more alive.

Even when it was working the comfort seat feature would not move back to the exact position. I would have to press the memory recall to adjust it.

I had issues with the mirrors begin incorrect when I had the reverse tilt enabled. I have since disabled it because it angles the mirrors too low for my liking anyway.

Looks like I'll have to take it to the dealer to get it checked out. All the technology in vehicles now is nice and convenient, but a pain to maintain.

Had this happen to me in my 2015. The fix was to turn on the truck and move the seat as far up as it will go and then all the way back. Then it worked fine after that. Dealer told me the seat had to "relearn" the max front and max rear settings. Give it a try

Thanks! I'll give that a try.

Confirmed that this works! Thanks for the tip!

I tried with the engine off and ignition in the run position and it did not work. The engine must be running in order for it to work, but now everything is back to the way it was working before.

Glad it worked for you:)

Slim, thx. I have the same issue with the exit assist not working. I'll give this a try.

Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. Easy exit still not working.

I have a different issue. My drivers side mirror never goes back to where I have it set. If I hit memory 1 it goes where I want it but if I turn the truck off and back on it goes to where it was before I set it to 1

Hello Rampat,
We are sorry to hear of this concern you are experiencing with your memory feature. If you decide to move forward with your dealership regarding this concern, please send our team a private message. We would be happy to provide an additional layer of assistance.

Thanks Slim! This fixed my problem too. I had some cargo in the back seat and when I exited the vehicle it must have blocked the easy exit from reaching the full back position.

Thanks Slim! Worked on my 2019 2500. This fixed it and saved me a trip to the dealer. I had to start the truck and do as you said. Once I did that easy exit worked and my memory seats started working again.

Thanks for the tip! Worked on my 2019 2500, as well, and saved me a dealer trip. My wife is also relieved as she was the last to drive before the issue.

2020 Laramie. Had same issue. My seat was pretty far back already so my guess is the easy exit was reading that it was back far enough. I moved my memory seat forward just a tad and now the easy exit feature works every time.

My 2019 had the same problem and this fix worked! The local dealership had no idea what to do. Thanks for the tip!

Not a bad thread to revive from the dead again. This is also how it works on the newer Jeep Grand Cherokees.

Not meaning to bring this thread back from the dead but I've tried this fix several times on my 21 Laramie and still not working. function is enabled and truck is running. Moved seat all the way back and fourth.........Still nothing.

Just thought I'd post this here. May be helpful to some.

This feature provides automatic driver seat positioning to enhance driver mobility when entering and exiting the vehicle.

The distance the driver seat moves depends on where you have the driver seat positioned when you cycle the vehicle’s ignition to the OFF position.

  • When you cycle the vehicle’s ignition to the OFF position, the driver seat will move about 2.4 inches (60 mm) rearward if the driver seat position is greater than or equal to 2.7 inches (67.7 mm) forward of the rear stop. The seat will return to its previously set position when you cycle the vehicle’s ignition to the ACC or RUN position.
  • The Easy Entry/Easy Exit feature is disabled when the driver seat position is less than 0.9 of an inch (22.7 mm) forward of the rear stop. At this position, there is no benefit to the driver by moving the seat for Easy Exit or Easy Entry.
Each stored memory setting will have an associated Easy Entry and Easy Exit position.

NOTE: The Easy Entry/Exit feature is not enabled when the vehicle is delivered from the factory. The Easy Entry/Exit feature is enabled (or later disabled) through the programmable features in the Uconnect system. Refer to “Uconnect Settings/Customer Programmable Features” in “Multimedia” for further information.
