Don't see any 3.21s hitting 28.2mpg with a Hemi, regardless of speed, distance, or length of time.

So not only do you have weak gears that can't pull anything, you also have a gas guzzler.
hold the bus dude.. 21 E-Torque Hemi /3.21 gears that pulls my 12,000 # dump trailer without issue , and get 25- 26 mpg hiway empty .. what do you tow? BTW with near 400 HP , plus 130 FT lbs with E-torque ,nothing is weak on my hemi

I got such good gas mileage with the hemi and 3.92’s that I said “oh no, that’s too much gas mileage” and got a diesel with 3.21’s.

Why are you so scared to show your actual trip meter/mpg?

Most of my miles are from towing and I use the trip meter for that. If anyone wants to beat their chest because 3.21s get better fuel economy hauling two avocados than my 3.92s do pulling my camper through the mountains, go for it.

Otherwise, 37.9 mpg is the score to beat.

You have two trip meters. Reset one and drive the same 40 miles.

We both know it won’t be the same as that bs economy screen.

One is life of the truck and the other is overall trips. They're staying right where they are.

It's a hard truth to accept, but the one slight advantage 3.21s thought they had is BS. Just accept it. Y'all could've had a truck that could tow AND get great fuel economy. Didn't even have to go with something called an EcoDiesel to get it.

You know there are two trip screens with Milage and two other milage screens. So that’s four different areas where you could get an accurate mpg

My focus had one of those economy score screens and it was never accurate.

Lol.

"Accurate."

No wonder y'all think you're getting great fuel economy from 3.21s.

80% of my 25,000 miles driven annually are driven at 80-82 mph on the interstate. There's no possible way you can convince me that 3.92 gears will be better in that application. If anybody has real world proof driving under those same conditions doing better I would love to see those results. Hypermiling under 50 mph for very short distances does absolutely nothing for me and proves squat.

Fact is every one of us has different driving styles and drives under completely different conditions. Use what works best for your situation. There's no one size fits all approach here.

Why do you find that so hard to believe? I assure you that’s completely true. Been doing the 80 mile round trip daily 5-6 days a week for 24 years now.

Oh, I believe you. Just laughing at how some use their trucks, that's all. Don't let it bother you.
