Good news - my truck that’s been sitting at the Detroit river yard for a month seemingly MIA is finally en route to the dealer. It’s going straight from Detroit to the dealer on a truck - you’d think it would arrive same day seeing that Detroit is only 4.5 hours away but I have no idea how many stops it makes etc. Excitement is at an all time high lol

build sheet means it is assembled,

good for you

next step is a window sticker
could be tonight or who knows

after that it is a crap shoot for how long it takes to get to your dealer
Is there a link to check for the buildsheet?

Took delivery about 10 days ago (Limited) after 3 months - radio/electrical issues. Sometimes the main screen and other electrical just doesn't work. Ram/dealer says nothing they can do until an update comes out. Can't send a new radio and not even sure that's the issue until the update. No one knows when an update will come. Possibly months. Dealership can't find the popping noise coming from the front end. Told them I didn't want the truck. They essentially said that I'm stuck with it and that's what a warranty is for.

I got pissed off and ordered another one. They wanted 6k to make the switch. Told them no way. Settled on 3k since the cost of the truck is up about 1800. Trading the 10 day old one in for a brand new one when it arrives. Not happy about the situation. Contacted Chrysler care or whatever it's called. Haven't heard back.

I’m in delmont and confused by it coming straight by truck lol I’m happy it is because it’s already been a month, atleast I know it just needs to get on a truck (or so I’m told). If it had to get on a train first I’d go insane waiting any longer 😂
Yes i know! Mine has a shipping date of 02-09, but from what i read that should be the build date. I am hoping for a March delivery due to Truck Month. The incentives have been horrible for the limited longhorn models. I think right now its $750 off. Or 48 months 0% neither seem that great for me. When i order my truck the msrp wss 74, 500 now its 79, something. Hopefully Mark dogde keeps there word and i should be about 64k.

@midwest guy, you need to review your state's lemon laws. You also need to send a certified letter to Ram requesting that they resolve the issue- give them 30 days. You're not "stuck" with the truck and I probably wouldn't have ordered a new one or gave them additional funds to do so.

What does truck month have anything to do with it

I would love to take delivery March 1st and take advantage of whatever truck month deals they have. Only thing I have locked in (other than price) is 2.9% financing which isn't great.

So my truck that I allegedly walked away from a few weeks ago is magically in D1 now with a VIN with a ship date of January 13th. Anyone else having issues with dealers/stellantis trying to pass off the increase in costs to orders that were done months ago before the price hike? I have an increase of roughly $2500 and while part of me wants to tell them to shove it, there’s another part of me that just wants the damn truck.

Thoughts on how any of you have dealt with this? Should I be going after the dealer or should I be pushing the dealer to connect with a Stellantis rep?
So, my 2022 Rebel just came in (ordered on June 25, 2021 and delivered to dealer on January 31, 2022), when I went to go pick it up, the sales manager tried to explain a $2,200.00 increase for charges that the manufacturer was passing along. Before I had a chance to reply, the sales manager said that since I ordered a 2022 to begin with, they made some calls and the up charge costs magically disappeared. I didn't have to say anything, I think they knew that this would not fly with me. Anyway, if you ordered a 2022 model, the increased charges for that model were applied during ordering. Good luck..

Ordered a 1500 limited back in October. Dealer agreed to $1k over invoice price at the time. Truck finally arrived but price went up $3k since I ordered it... What are folk's experience with dealers honoring their original price versus passing on the inflation to the buyer?

I thought I would provide an update (as of 1-1-22). After hearing back from my dealer, my Rebel build was headed to "the body vendor" and was scheduled to be shipped on 12/31/21. This is the second ship date I received, the first date had it to be shipped on 12/12/21 (so much for that....It didn't happen). If it ships on 12/31, I would estimate that I may see it sometime near the end of January 2022. I jokingly told the dealer that I could build a custom house in less time that it took compared to this new vehicle order.....Good thing goose and deer season are in now to keep me busy. Does anyone else think that an ordered vehicle should take over Six months?
My truck finally showed up at the dealer. The truck was delivered to Jessup, Md. on 1/13/22 and taken off the rail truck on 1/14/22. I was provided a delivery to the dealer timeframe from 1/24/22 to 2/7/22. Apparently they were waiting for other trucks to be delivered so they could have a full delivery truck when it comes to the dealer. I got word on 1/31/22 that the truck was delivered. Picked it up on 2/1/22. Over 7 months from the date of ordering. luckily I wasn't depending on this truck coming in quickly. But I will say I love the truck, it was absolutely worth the wait.

^^This.

To add, if you do cancel your order...basically if you take back your deposit, and use it for something else on the lot, or even take the money out and go to another dealer, you lose that price protection, because it's technically not your order anymore (even though the dealer will keep the order).

I know of this first hand. Best bet is to just let them hold on to the deposit until it shows up.

I dont know, but a lot of the people here are getting anywhere between 5-6% under invoice. If anything fight them for price protection, many dealers are honoring the price before increases. I know at Lakeland they honored the price.
