4-5% off invoice is fake internet talk. You could hit that by buying 1% below invoice and throwing in a few rebates but that’s the only way. Everyone gets rebates regardless of purchase price
Unless you get the rebate and then the dealer puts the rebate back on top of the deal as an upcharge...

MSRP of my truck order was $56,755. Sale price was $50,254. That's not rebates/incentives, just sale price from Mark Dodge.

Here is a link to the thread that SnowBlaZR2 is referencing: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/how-to-get-the-best-price-on-your-new-ram.26103/

This is the method I followed, as many others have, to get the best deal I could. I tried about 10 other dealerships and none came close, this included local ones and ones that my family has bought from for 20+ years. Hope this helps you or somebody else out there.
First posting in awhile. Trying to get a lead on a discounted price on a 21 Tradesman for my son. If anyone knows any dealer that deal with current inventory, please post. I flew to MD, LA and picked up my Longhorn on 10/14. MD picked me up at hotel, in out dealership in 1.5 hours. For those of you looking to purchase currently, check out my postings. In short, MD was unbelievable. Aaron and Sandi, Sales, Marsh in finance. Ordered June, picked up 10/14. msrp 72,550. Contract price 61,899. Inv. was around 66k. dealer fee was like 220 (now about 444.00. Still under NJ dealer fees. No charge at pickup for fca price increase. No hidden charges, nada. Absolutely above board on all fronts. HIGHLY recommend them. Almost bought a tradesman from them last week but they sold out their 21 inventory in 1 week.

One of my local dealers has a pile of Classic Tradesmans but I highly doubt they will give you a deal. https://www.hendrickchryslerdodgeje...sman&_dFR[type][0]=New&_paymentType=our_price

Their reluctance to price protect as well as price protect the sold order incentives at the time of order is what drove me to order with Mark Dodge. I bought my 2017 Ram from Chapman and continue to have my Rebel serviced at Chapman. They just couldn't get competitive to get the deal done.
I just did exactly this ^ Cancelled my order with Chapman and placed a new order with Renae [email protected]

She was very helpful and responsive.

Back to the back of the line, but now the wait will be much less stressful now that i'm price protected.

Sounds like a solid decision. My MSRP on the window sticker increased by a couple of hundred dollars by the time I got the truck in July for my March order. Mark Dodge did not hassle me at all & they protected the incentives that were better at the time of order in March than delivery in July as well. You will be happy.

I see a dealer with a very basic Bighorn quad cab for 36K and change in ****eysville Maryland. That's about as good as it gets. Not all that many Tradesman's out there... I think they are doing more uptrim models as there is more money in it.

I was also quoted 5% under invoice on a 2022 Laramie night from Chapman. They have been great but said that with the Laramie, the sport hood is mandatory and not able to be replaced by the standard hood on the night edition. Apparently the sport hood delete is no longer an option for higher trims. Has anyone been able to order a laramie or limited night edition with the standard hood? I know a lot of people like the sport hood but I prefer the clean lines.

This is just an FYI. I built a Laramie 4x4 on Rams web site December 29th. Sent to Mark Dodge yesterday for a quote. Price has increased $4055.00. They said the web site has not been updated in a while and that the factory has had some price changes.

This site Nadaguides has been much more accurate with pricing than the ramtrucks.com site. However, the Nada site doesn't show the pricing changes that just happened a couple of days ago yet.

I used the Ram website to build a couple of trucks while drinking coffee this morning and the price is definitely not accurate.

It made me happy I grabbed my '21 Rebel for the price I got it for though!

I just did the same thing. I canceled my order with my local dealer, lost the $2,000 deposit, and ordered with Renae at MD. I am so glad I did. The price for my truck was $72,480. My sale price, which is locked in, is $63,938. Iwas so worth canceling my order even with losing the 2 grand. And she locked in the $2,000 rebate. And the icing on the cake is I was able to add the advanced safety group, which wasn't available when I originally ordered. I just wish I had known about MD before I placed my first order. I don't mind driving 500 miles to pick up my new truck, it'll be a nice road trip getting to know my new truck.

There's a good chance I'll buy from MD in a year or two when I go to upgrade. I have no problem flying out and making a several day long road trip adventure back home, if it saves me 7 or 8 grand.

So I ordered a truck on 12/15/21 and I had a Employee Price (CDI #) my dealer wrote up the contact and I gave them a $1000 deposit. I owe $73k when it arrives in cash or finance per my signed contact, can it go up an additional $3k-$4k meaning I have to be responsible for the increase even though this was a done deal back in December? What are your thoughts guys? You think the dealer will try to stick it to me?

Depends on the dealer but unless you had some order protection I presume it could go either way unfortunately. Hopefully your dealer will take care of you.

Renae has been excellent at MD. I'll be flying out 1k+ and well worth it for the price! If everyone had the ability to travel, it would force the local dealers to have fair pricing. Most the dealers in Midwest (Illinois/Indiana/Wisconsin) are nowhere near invoice and most are at MSRP or higher on an ORDERED truck! I'm all for supporting local dealerships, but not when they're taking advantage of the current situation. I actually offer $1k more than MD to a local dealership and they looked at me like I was making up MD's offer.

Don't get me started on used car prices.......

What??? You should definitely be looking for at minimum 4% below Invoice. If you're not, you either haven't shopped around or don't care about over paying. The dealer still makes profit from selling below invoice because Invoice is not actually "dealer cost".

This the is the way i look at it. If you were a business owner, would you rather:
1. Sell 5 vehicles with huge profit and have 5 pissed off customers that never come back to buy another vehicle OR
2. Sell 25 vehicles with less profit and have 25 happy customers that keep coming back to buy from you?

I'd pick 2 all day long, that's what Mark Dodge is doing.
