I got the Recon 3rd brake light today. Looks pretty good. Just hope it doesn't leak. I was one of the lucky ones, in the fact that my OEM light didn't.

The gasket on this thing is very thick. It seems to not quite fit flush on the top (on mine, at least). If I look at from the ground form either side, it seems flush. I was afraid to overtighten it. Don't want it to break.

Overall, it seem pretty good. Time will tell, I guess. I hope it works out, because they have a NO return policy on open products.

lpsouth1978 - Did you wire those lights to a switch or to the reverse lights? Always looking for new ways to see better in reverse. Even LED reverse lights dont help in my opinion.

Been awhile since I've been on here, but had to hop on today to help accomplish what I was getting done.

After angry ordering the tow hooks and bezels a couple weeks ago, finally decided to throw them in. For anyone thinking of ordering hooks and bezels from RockAuto, they don't come with the extra bolt for the hook, nor do the bezels come with the new retainer clips mentioned everywhere else I'd seen regarding install. Fought like crazy on the passengers side to get the old bezel out and get the bolts/nuts back in the new bezel. Once I figured out the trick (and accidentally knocked the air dam into the lowered position) it went unbelievably smooth for the rest of the install and on the drivers side.

So, although it was another job that should've been easy but took way longer than expected, I'm glad they're in and have no doubt it'd be a simple in/out next time.

I keep saying no more black vehicles and some how every other one I buy ends up black

I feel this. I'm telling myself right now my next one won't be black, and it won't be. But then I'll probably miss it and the one after that will be.

Had my Mopar Catback Exhaust installed yesterday on my 21 Limited. I installed the Mopar Cold Air Intake 2 weeks ago. Love the sound at start up and she will make noise when you press on it.

I wired them to a switch that I put below the steering wheel. That way they can be turned on only when actually needed. I plan to use them for backing at night AND for camping, TT hookups at night, etc.

Decided (last night) to install the window visors (EGR) and the stone/bug deflector (Weathertech). The window deflectors were a breeze and only took about 20 minutes to install. The bug deflector was a PITA. After popping out the rivets in the seal/hood, you align the deflector under the gasket and "try" to screw in new push pins with a screw. I would like to see those that actually got the screw to tighten....lol

These window visors look so good, I decided to order a set of my own. Hopefully they’ll be as easy to install as yours were.

I have been really sick (4 hospital visits) for much of 2021, and it continues into 2022 - I rang in the New Year in hospital Emergency Room, what turned out to be a very painful inguinal hernia. Had to (figuratively) fight tooth and nail to get seen by a General Surgeon earlier than what almost all of them had as their available schedule, and that's just the (mandatory) consult. Now I have to wait until Jan. 25 for the surgery (thankfully, to be done as an outpatient so no dreaded hospital overnight stay, and it will be done  robotically so smaller incisions = faster recovery).

In the meanwhile, NO LIFTING so I will have to wait to install (1) OEM bed step and (2) OEM Ram Air Intake (I have parts for both, just can't install them yet :( ) - Good thing I installed OEM Stainless Steel Side Steps when I was feeling halfway good in middle of December.

It is frustrating to see the parts sitting in my garage and not being able to install them.

Ask your friends to help (with beer). I am still recovering from severe COVID illness. My friends helped install mud flaps, tow hooks and other small mods. It was an excuse to drink beer. LOL

So that unit doesn’t add CarPlay, right? It just makes the CarPlay you already have become wireless?

Correct. I used it for the first time yesterday, I did have some frustration but I believe it was due to the fact that I have both my work phone and personal phone with me and it is hard to switch between the two

Nice. And yeah I gave that up when I came back to the private sector. Too much of a hassle. No more Timmy Two-phones for this kid.
