Are you seeing any patterns on why these newer orders seem to be moving so quickly? My order was 9/20 but had just about every option. I keep seeing that it's the pano that is slowing it down? Just curious, I'm not in a big rush.

I keep looking for a pattern, but just don’t see anything coherent. Here’s a link to some data I posted earlier today. Pano sunroofs don’t appear to be “out of stock”, but it’s hard to tell what restrictions there are without knowing how many orders have it (all we can see is what is being built).

Thanks for that. I'll look through the data! In your best guess, am I more likely to get build started sooner or maybe after Christmas? And what are you seeing for build lead times plus shipping? I know you don't have a crystal ball, but I'm curious on your thoughts for my order.

It is a complete crap shoot. If you ordered in early November, I would say you have a decent shot of getting built in the next few weeks (as they seem to be focusing on the latest orders). But anything earlier, I would say that you’re in the lottery. As far as shipping times, Triple _B’s daily posts show the average time from window sticker (i.e., release from the factory) to delivery at the dealership.

as of this post it has not been delivered to southern calif.

That’s a loaded question and it depends on a lot of factors. When did you order, what packages did you opt for, etc. The generic answer is it can be built in 3 weeks, or it can be 6+ months.

Assume 6 months. I ordered a limited 9/20 and it’s no where close to starting. I’m assuming February.

I assume you mean how long does it take to receive a VIN. Typically it’s a day or two. But I’m some cases, Ram holds orders for a bit. For example, they stopped issuing new TRX VINs for over a month.
But I don’t think they’re holding orders right now. In fact, they just added something like 10,000 new VINs in the past day or so. I would expect you to have a VIN by now if you ordered before Thanksgiving.

You can try the online chat on the Ram website (not open right now). They will give you your VIN if you have a VON.
