If I'm understanding correctly if a dealer has a window sticker for their inventory that unit has possibly shipped? Cause my dealer has 8 and I don't even have d1 status.

Couldn't they just turn around and sell it for more? 🤷‍♂️
I wonder if there is some metric Stellantis keeps showing how many "sold" orders are actually sold to the person who ordered the truck. If so, I could see a dealer being penalized if they don't sell a "sold" order to the person that ordered it, even if it is not the dealer's fault.

The common sense factor feels high in that assessment.

Does anyone know how dealer allocations work? It is the only logical thing I can think of as to why a lower VIN gets delayed being scheduled for build when something in the 190k range goes D1 almost immediately after order. Should be easily refuted if a high VIN Mark Dodge order goes D1 over comparable lower ones.
if you figure it out you get the award of the year!

that is the way it is supposed to work but only the factory and dealers know for sure.
Having a window sticker means it has been released by the factory and invoiced to the dealer. Doesn’t necessarily mean it has shipped (that would depend on the shipping logistics).

That is the case for Ford (60% must come from reservation holders) and they penalize the dealers by taking away allocations.

Actually the dealers don't know any more than Ram Chat. They can access the same status sheet that is updated by FCA to give them d, d1, build sheet, I, JB,JS, Window Sticker. Then they can get some tracking info after it is invoiced to the dealer.

I have been showing him the charts we have that shows the randomness of it all. He pretty much verified what I have said here. No miss-information to manage my anxiety and anticipation. Now we can have frank discussions. Also no real need to bug him. He can't do anything to help. The dealers are powerless. They can submit an order and possibly a modification to the order and then wait. Just like us.

Yes the dealer is only authorized about 18% selling vehicle to another customer average. Then they loose ability to order vehicles for customers..

Here is an instance where Stellantis prioritized Demons sold at or below MSRP for dealers.

Picked up my truck this afternoon, LOVE IT!! Ride is soo smooth compared to the F150 I traded in. Waiting was hard but it’s very much worth it seeing, sitting in, driving the truck. Going to install the mx4 tonneau cover tomorrow that’s been sitting in the garage since June, and enjoy this beauty!!

Curious...did you get the power folding mirrors....??? been reading a lot about certain trims losing the power folding mirrors and i would hate to have to fold them manually to get into my garage in the dead of winter.....

since my update yesterday on my new estimated ship date of October 25 2021

my dealer just called me and said my truck has been invoiced to them. So if he’s telling the truth I should have a window sticker tonight and hopefully lay eyes on my truck within a week…
Estimated shipping date means less than nothing
And I am sooo excited

Been looking through the window stickers for some of the trucks and got burned out pretty quick. I'm trying to see if anyone has received a build sheet or window sticker for a truck with Mountain Brown/Lt. Frost Beige interior. Everything I've found so far has black interiors. Ram chat says they are waiting on parts for my build but they can't say what parts. Only oddball thing I can see about my order is the color for the inside.
