Anyone put 35 inch tires on stock 18 inch rims? I am installing the ReadyLIFT 3.5 so clearance should not be a issue...just wondering if there are cons to keeping stock rims if not wanting to buy 20 inch ones right now.
If so which ones?
Pics are always great
Thanks so much

The ride quality will feel better with 18s. I tried some 18x9 methods with 35x12.50 tires and they didnt fit at all. And it has the 2 inch level making it 3" taller than a normal non offroad ram. I however have seen 35x12.50 on stocks being pulled off

I just ordered a rebel 12 with air suspension. Anyone know the biggest size I can go with that stock configuration?

The Rebel I test drove belonged to the dealer manager and he had 35's on the stock rims with a 2" lift (I was told). I drove that to see what the ride quality was like and it didn't seem to be too bad. I like the look of 18's and more rubber on the Rebel personally, so I'm looking to see if I can find something I like to fit.

Which specific Method wheels did you try?

Method 18x9 mr301 standard

Hey guys first post! Have a Rebel 12 that will be here in a couple weeks. Want to do a front level with 35s on stock wheels. Do any of you that have seen / drove one with that setup have a pic you can post?

Thanks!

I realize this is an older post but have been searching for this answer and have yet to find if this can be done. I have a 2019 rebel that I am getting ready to put the 3.5 ready lift on. I like the stock rebel wheels and would like to step up to 35/12.50r18 probably stay with the duratrac tires. Is this doable? If it is minor rubbing on the mud flaps that can be remedied that is fine. I have seen the question asked several times on multiple forums but never a definitive answer given. I am sure someone has tried it and has an answer. Thank you in advance

I just ordered a set of Cooper SST Pros in 295/70 18 for the stock 2020 rebel wheels. Comes out to roughly a 34.6 x 11.6 tire. I have Icon upper arms and 1.5” hubcentric wheel spacers. The rest of my Icon Stage 5 suspension is still a couple weeks our so hopefully they will fit.

What did you do to get the 35s to fit?
I removed the plastic mud gaurd flap looking thing on the corner of the wheel well, cut off the tab that holds the gaurd underneath the cab and zip tied the wheel welder plastic liners back and done. Like a 20 minute job

Anyone try 285/75 R18's, short 35, and how they do? Lotta people talk about 35 X 12.5, but I'm wondering how a slightly smaller tire does. Going to try something bigger when the stock tires go... they perform great for what I need... just want something to fill out the wheel wells a little better.

What is the issue with the stock rims? Are they too narrow to fit 12.5" tires, or is the backspacing or offset all wrong for tires that wide?

They sit too far in so that wide of a tire ends up rubbing against the upper control arm. It's pretty close, a .25" wheel spacer usually solves the issue.

I just ask because I really like the stock rims and I figure why not save $600-1000?

Many people like the stock rims and just want a bigger tire. No problem there. You can either run 35x11.50 or put a .25” spacer on and be fine. There have been a few people that ran the 35x12.50s without a spacer but it’s a gamble. Each truck is slightly different.
