Ok

My build sheet says Uconnect 5 with Nav 8.4.
I ordered a back country, it made me select Nav. Guessing it’s for the Off road Pages that comes with the package but not sure.
My son ordered the back country, they told him at the dealership it will be 6-8 weeks before it arrives. What did they tell you?

I was told 8-12 weeks. It's been 5 so far. Even the 12 week mark is extraordinarily optimistic I'd say.

8.4" and 12" both. I think only Tradesman with 5" is still the old version

I was told 8-12 weeks.
I was also told 8-12 weeks back on July 9th. Tomorrow marks 8 weeks. Understanding (after I ordered and joined this thread) that 8 or even 12 was never realistic. I will just hope, and maybe even pray a little come late Oct, that I have my truck by the third week in Nov before I leave for my mule deer hunt in MT. My Kia Soul will struggle to haul everything from WI to MT in late November.

Update to the tracker for new additions (@JRich33435, @JODYJCATALANO). No update to the assumptions. Couple of requests:
  • If anyone else has gone D1, let me know. 8 of the 22 users with VINs from 100,000 to 103,000 are reporting D1 now - would like to hear from the others in that group.
  • I just found out about the new "Longhorn Southfork" edition. Only one person has reported ordering that package. If anyone else has that package, please let me know.

If RamChat is so vague with their answers, why use it? I’ve called them a few times and spoke with an actual person, once she told me the plant was closed for 2 weeks and another time she complained for several minutes that her computer wasn’t working. Not very professional.
Why not just call your dealer for information?

I'll be darn lucky to have mine by Christmas 🎄 I think. Hope yours arrives in time!!

Because we're bored and we have no other sources of useless information.

Mostly two reasons I think. First, "trust but verify". Second, we're all going stir crazy waiting for our toys and hoping like heck RamChat can give us more "concrete" info which is comical really. I'm guilty of this myself but need to rely on dealer better. IT'S THEIR JOB TO KEEP US INFORMED!!!!

I've been emailing my dealer/salesrep back and forth for a while because from past experience, emailing is both easier and faster. However, they're proving somewhat unresponsive so I will probably resort to calling soon.

Actually might call them today as Ram merging the Tech Group with Level 1 has me a bit more interest in Level 1. Anyone know if you can change your order once placed, without having to cancel and start over?

At this point, before production, your dealer can put in the request, and Ram will most likely accept it (as long as it isn’t an option that requires a VIN change). But, the dealer will get re-invoiced, so if there were any price increases on any other packages/options/base vehicle price, etc, since you originally ordered, it will be reflected on the new invoice, and the dealer would have to increase your original quote.

100% dealer Discretion. MD told me i could not add Bed utility group 2 days after order, but i COULD change from a 3.21 to a 3.92 3 weeks after order when i mentioned i tow pretty frequently summertime and serves as the basis for me buying the truck. they have to pass the requests off to Corporate reps so its more or less a "you better have a good reason." type of scenario.

Same thing here. The sales rep I ordered from is 'no longer with the company'. Now the guy they turned me over to doesn't respond to emails. I probably sent him an email every other week and apparently that's too much for him to handle. When I was there for the ordering process, there were about 6 sales guys (mine as one of them) hanging out talking and sitting on the bench outside. They have no inventory to sell so why so hard to respond to an email?

Ram has a lot over the competition, but customer care is not one of those things. Ford dealerships kill Ram in responsiveness (around my area anyway).

There are a few D1's pretty high on the VIN list. Is there anything consistent or special about those? Trim level, etc?

Right. Yeah, I would say my "good reason" for taking a second look at Level 1 is the changes Ram themselves decided to make semi-last minute (at least as far as factory ordering and when that opened up goes).

Above 103,000, I know of the following:
  • 1 Limited
  • 1 10th Anniversary Limited
  • 5 TRX
I don't know that this means anything in particular. The reason I know of several TRX's is because I watch the TRX forum (and those guys are twice as antsy about their orders as folks here). So this isn't necessarily a "trend", it's just a function of the sample set. That's why I'm looking for as much information as I can from this crowd. I'm looking for a pattern.

Just spit balling here with the D1 status here, so please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

The SHAP is closed right now, so no builds are happening. So does that mean the D1 status is 1 week ahead of when it's scheduled to be build?

Have we seen any pricing info on the new package? The only thing I wanted out of the old Level 1 was the surround view camera. I wasn't paying $3k for it. The 10th Anniversary Edition included the speakers and ventilated rear seats.
