Yes this was posted on there Facebook page last Friday.SHAP closed until Sept 7, 2021.
If that’s the case, then they’ll just build TRX’s.It does make sense for them to produce the most expensive trims with the largest number of chips first, when in a shortage. Wider profit margins and it's easier to complete those trucks now instead of later.
It's definitely going to be interesting to see how they navigate parts shortages. It does make sense for them to produce the most expensive trims with the largest number of chips first, when in a shortage. Wider profit margins and it's easier to complete those trucks now instead of later.
I'm also curious to see the type of trucks that end up on lots and how they are equipped.
I would. TRX’s are selling as high as $130k at dealers right now for in-stock inventory. They’re certainly the hottest selling Ram truck right now.Margins matter. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the margin on a TRX is smaller than a Limited or a Longhorn.
I think this will come after Labor Day too.Being tomorrow is 9/1, and the Ram incentives expired 8/31, I'm hoping Ram marketing and chat update the Ramtrucks.com website to show 2022 information and builds. The first member who spots this gets a

I can't believe Ram, who wants to dethrone Ford and Chevy/Gmc, wouldn't have updated the site by now. Ridiculous.I think this will come after Labor Day too.
RAM doesn't get anymore money than what they sell them to the dealers for. I agree that it's the hottest truck but not sure it makes them the most money.I would. Everything is kind of a mess right now. Ford's profits tanked HARD and it's taken forever for GMC/Chevy to get their refreshed interior out. I think Ram (and all the rest) are just trying to make sure they don't implode over the next year or so.I can't believe Ram, who wants to dethrone Ford and Chevy/Gmc, wouldn't have updated the site by now. Ridiculous.
Yeah, I just view it as something you make because you can and arguably should. There's a market for it no doubt but what goes into that truck, or a Raptor, ain't cheap.RAM doesn't get anymore money than what they sell them to the dealers for. I agree that it's the hottest truck but not sure it makes them the most money.
Exactly. It makes the dealers more money but the invoice cost is the invoice cost.RAM doesn't get anymore money than what they sell them to the dealers for. I agree that it's the hottest truck but not sure it makes them the most money.
I think November is a good number for me as well. I'm sure it will be built buy then, but if I'm going to wait months, I might as well wait for f150 lighting.I know one thing if I don’t have my truck at least scheduled to be built my November I’m cutting my loses. I don’t like waiting for anything let alone a 60k+ purchase
You don’t like waiting and yet you chose to order a vehicle in the midst of unprecedented material shortages with plenty of evidence of the issues already causing problems for other huge car manufacturers? Alrighty.I know one thing if I don’t have my truck at least scheduled to be built my November I’m cutting my loses. I don’t like waiting for anything let alone a 60k+ purchase
No disrespect intended, to each their own, but this “if I have to wait months” train of thought doesn’t jive with the process of ordering a vehicle in current conditions. Waiting months, maybe many months, was always going to be required.I think November is a good number for me as well. I'm sure it will be built buy then, but if I'm going to wait months, I might as well wait for f150 lighting.
